Fresh and cheerful, evolving into something opulent and dense, quite sweet. The raspberry is the protagonist, changing and rich in nuances that play with the other notes from start to finish. The bottle fits perfectly with this concoction that seems to escape from One Thousand and One Nights. On my skin it performs wonderfully; when I wear it I feel happy and seductive, as if wearing Botticelli’s Spring.
A fruity, fresh and cheerful scent that becomes opulent and dense, with a quite sweet touch. The raspberry stands out, but it is changing and full of nuances that interact with the other notes from beginning to end. Its packaging is ideal for this liquid that seems to escape from One Thousand and One Nights. On my skin it performs magnificently; putting it on makes me feel happy and seductive, the best way to describe it is to imagine Botticelli’s Spring.
Magical. It reminds me of something from my childhood, though I don’t know exactly what: an air freshener, a toy, a dessert, a shampoo or another perfume? It brings back memories of playing Donkey Kong with my cousins. It’s fruity, juicy and fresh, yet notably substantial; I’ve never smelled anything similar. I loved the review below because Botticelli’s Spring is my favourite work; I agree it would be that painting but with more light. Update 23 April 2023: Its projection is BESTIAL. I go out without wearing anything else and receive compliments constantly. It lasts for ages on clothes, even after washing. I am going to buy a backup already, fearing they might reformulate it. Without a doubt, it is in my top 3.

I’m not a big fan of fruity scents, but I love Almaz. The opening is a fruity explosion: rather than wild berries, it’s sweet, juicy tropical fruits with effervescent touches, a fresh cocktail of mango, peach, apple and guava with lime. It then reveals a powdery texture with creamy vanilla over caramelised wood. It’s comfortable, easy, without fuss or surprises, a safe bet for both mature and younger audiences. I love its potency, longevity and sillage: it lasts for hours with a moderate projection that is much appreciated. It’s not a diabetes inducer, but a persistent and prudent aura. If you love Caribbean fruits with vanilla, you will adore it.
Absolute madness on the skin! I tried it as a decant and immediately wanted the whole bottle. I agree with @lacasitadepan: it reminds me of something from my childhood, perhaps a toy or a piece of fruit… it’s wonderful. EDIT: Two years later, I finally own it, but now it gives me headaches 😔. It’s a shame because I still adore the scent, but I can’t take it anymore.
Hello @Naluapilar, yes, I know Lamar as it comes with Almaz. My description sounds odd, but on my skin that is exactly what I perceive: not berries, but those tropical fruits I mentioned. The blackcurrants appear later, very shy and imperceptible.
I love fruity perfumes; for me, it’s a basket full of tropical fruits: mango, banana, passion fruit, and lots of raspberries, with plenty of sugar and vanilla. It’s creamy, super delicious. I loved it; it’s in my top 10.
VainillaDulce, I think you are talking about Lamar, which has the notes you mention.
The Kajal house is mid-niche, with a French and Arab-Oriental air, very exclusive and ‘posh’. Furthermore, there’s recently been hype on some fragrances. This Almaz is one of the few with raspberry and fruits (without the typical masculine combinations with leather or oud). Perhaps that’s why people see it as more feminine. In my opinion, nowadays, in a western world where Moschino Toy Boy or Baccarat Rouge 540 are worn by mature men, this is totally unisex, although I understand that for traditional noses it smells more like ‘auntie’ than ‘male inseminator’. Wonderful aroma, sweet without being cloying, addictive, and lasts a long time with a heavy sillage, especially at the start. The problem is the high price, niche style, and difficult accessibility (only on the Kajal website or a few sites). If you get a 5-10ml decant, you satisfy the whim and have Almaz for a long time as this hits hard; two sprays are more than enough.
The Kajal house is a mid-niche blend, half French, half Arab-Oriental, very exclusive and posh. Moreover, recently some of its fragrances have gained hype. In my opinion, nowadays, in a Western world where Moschino Toy Boy or Baccarat Rouge 540 are worn even by mature men with full beards, this is totally unisex, although I understand that for traditional noses it smells more like auntie than male inseminator. Wonderful aroma, sweet without being cloying, which can be addictive, lasts for ages with a heavy trail, especially at the beginning. The problem is the high price, niche style, and difficult accessibility (only sold on the Kajal website or a few sites). If you get a 5-10ml decant, you kill the craving and will have Almaz for a long time because this sticks like glue and two sprays are more than enough.
I just received it with a gorgeous presentation, though a bit excessive with the shine and stones, and the cap is huge. At first, I sensed a sweet mandarin mixed with other fruits, then vanilla and sugar. They say it resembles Erba Pura, but it has a more velvety vibe. I like the velvety part of Erba Pura, but this smells more natural and has a better projection; Erba Pura’s opening felt very synthetic to me. For now, it’s a fragrance leaning more towards feminine in scent and presentation.
I bought a vial for €7 at a niche boutique and know the full bottle will arrive for my birthday in November. It’s the most fruity thing I’ve ever tried. You have to try it; words fall short. Edit: it’s now in my collection. Why wait? 😆 Life is short… It’s the only fragrance where I truly notice the brown sugar. Nothing like Kayali’s. This is another level.
Spectacular to my nose, a delicious cocktail of fruits; I perceive mango in the opening even though it is not declared. The dry down is the best: it stays fruity but increases sweetness due to brown sugar and vanilla, which I love. It is a classy fruit scent, nothing childish, with personality. Perhaps there are many fruity perfumes today, but none as addictive as this; I find it sparkling, sexy and even elegant because I sense a powdery touch at times. This fragrance literally screams ‘eat me’. I tried Lamar Dahab and Almaz as decants, even sprayed all three on my arms; although Lamar felt more invasive and potent, that exquisite pineapple from Dahab was wonderful; I couldn’t stop smelling Almaz, it drove me mad and I saw fireworks. Longevity and sillage are moderate, but I forgive it because it smells divine. Obviously I bought the 100ml bottle because I needed it in my life; later I will get the other two from this brand 🫠.

What a pleasure to return to Fragrantica and see it receiving the attention it deserves. This is my favourite from the whole collection, along with another. If I had to keep just two perfumes, this would be one. It’s intense, long-lasting, fills you with compliments, and its bottle is out of this world. I sense an intense tropical fruit with brown sugar giving it body. It beats Dahab and Lamar hands down, to be honest. I have my bottle at 80% and need a refill as I’m terrified they might reformulate it. It’s been out of stock in Chile for months. Without a doubt, a perfect perfume.
The best perfume from the entire Kajal house. 😍
What a beautiful perfume: it’s tropical fruits in syrup. If you love very sweet tropical fruits, this is for you. The quality is impeccable and it’s gorgeous.
I picked up a decant of Almaz and, although I knew from the start it was mine, I waited a few days to be sure. It smells fresh, sweet, and sugary with acidic citrus notes that aren’t sharp. There’s a clean musk that, mixed with the fruits, reminds me of stepping out of the shower with a luxury fruity shampoo. I absolutely love it; my circle enjoys it too, and it’s ideal for mild or hot days. Lasts about six hours on skin (much longer on clothes) with moderate projection. 💚
I’ve tried several perfumes, and this one, alongside Interdit by Jovoy, are giants when it comes to longevity. I adored it: it’s fresh, delicious, fruity, and performs exceptionally well. Without a doubt, I want it.
Super feminine perfume, excellent quality and smells very well, with excellent performance, perfect to gift to a lady. I wouldn’t wear it myself, but I would enjoy it on my partner. Once again, the precedent is set of not believing what the YouTube reviewers say (they are biased), especially those who sell the idea that it’s unisex. Fortunately, I tried it in a Discovery Set which comes with a sample of this same house.
What a charming fragrance. Fruity, sugary, sweet (watch out with the sprays) and unique. I see no sensible comparison with Erba Pura; it goes down a different path, although I understand they are in the same category and cross over in reviews for being sweet fruity fragrances. Along with Lamar, the best from Kajal (Lamar is undoubtedly more elegant). I wear them being a forty-something man and I don’t tire of receiving feminine compliments. Be careful in enclosed spaces: its sweetness can project a lot and be cloying, so one must be prudent. It’s for any season, day or night. The presentation seems correct; it looks like a ‘thing’ bottle for women but alludes to luxury and sophistication when sprayed. It’s coherent. Gentlemen: I can’t imagine it for a young boy in a t-shirt and trainers; for the image to make sense, one must balance the feminine phase with maturity and masculine bearing. The man who wears these ‘borderline unisex’ fragrances must be sure of what he’s doing and have that ‘wear what I fancy’ bearing. Otherwise, the fragrance might be perceived as purely feminine and the olfactory image will have noise. Recommended 100% within sweet fruity aromas. There’s no way to go wrong with Kajal.
What a delightful fragrance. Fruity, sugary, and sweet (watch out with the sprays…). I see no sensible comparison with Erba Pura; it takes a different path, even though they share a category. Alongside Lamar, these are Kajal’s best (Lamar is more elegant). I wear them as a forty-something man and never tire of receiving compliments from women. Be careful in enclosed spaces: its sweetness can project too much and become cloying; one must be prudent. It suits any season, day or night. The presentation is adequate for the contents. The bottle looks like a ‘thing’ for women, yet it alludes to the luxury and sophistication created by wearing it. It is coherent. Gentlemen: I cannot imagine it for a young boy in a t-shirt and trainers; one must balance the feminine side with maturity and masculine bearing. Those who wear these ‘borderline unisex’ fragrances must be sure of what they are doing and possess that ‘wear what I fancy’ bearing. Otherwise, it may be perceived as purely feminine and the olfactory image may feel noisy. Highly recommended 100% within sweet fruity scents. There is no way to go wrong with Kajal.
Whoever says this perfume is more feminine than masculine is right, which wasn’t a reason not to buy it. It has a very fresh and fruity, juicy opening. As it dries down, the citrus disappears and it moves to a floral touch that is always sweet, elegant and soft, powdery. As it progresses, it develops a fairly milky scent, like warm milk with vanilla, perhaps almond and that particular touch of tonka. I bought it for personal use but curiously it has earned me many compliments, from women and friends alike. Although the comment ‘isn’t it half a woman?’ doesn’t fail to appear, I simply laughed and replied: ‘Yes, it’s unisex, but I enjoy it every time I apply it, generally on my days off or at the supermarket. If I go on a date and the girl arrives with something like this, she earns instant points’.
I bought this fragrance confident I’d love it. I listened to all kinds of reviews and read so many positive comments that… when it arrived, something didn’t quite fit. It’s not that I don’t like it; there’s no denying it’s a quite tasty fruity perfume, but… I sense something synthetic that I don’t enjoy. I couldn’t say if it’s the brown sugar, but it’s a note that overshadows the composition. The bottle isn’t to my liking either; shiny silver with a jarring, heavy cap. I agree it leans more towards feminine, although tastes vary and I don’t doubt a man could wear it well. Another negative point is its longevity, barely four hours with low projection. As I bought it in autumn, I’m thinking of putting it aside until spring to see if it earns a place or if it will be another disappointment with niche perfumery.
Raspberry with brown sugar, a delight, love at first sniff. I detect a slight milky, cloying note, but the citrus touches make it more sparkly. Without a doubt, the best purchase.
What a delight. Sweetness made into a fragrance. Nothing more to add, a bomb of compliments.
How rich, please. It’s fruity to the core; I’m absolutely blown away. Even though it’s cold and rainy spring here, I can’t stop wearing it despite it not matching the weather, simply because I love it. It doesn’t matter if I get compliments or not; I just can’t stop smelling it.
A beautiful fragrance in a jewel-like bottle, ideal for any occasion. The quality is incredible due to the note combination, although I’m disappointed it doesn’t last long on my skin. It’s a perfect balance of fruits bathed in sugar and vanilla, sensual without being heavy or cloying. On me, it doesn’t get stuck; the citrus evaporates to leave a playful raspberry on a sweet milky base. Feminine and silky. Although inspired by diamond, it evokes the tenderness of true love. Almaz, I simply cannot live without you.
Almaz is a fruity bomb: intense, juicy, and explosive from the first spray. It has presence and power, with a fruity sweetness that is impossible to ignore. It’s a striking fragrance, one that you feel and that makes an impression.
