  I find this perfume very pleasant. It has that citrus touch wrapped in an addictive, gourmet sweetness. I wonder if you’re tempted to eat or drink it, because the aroma reminds me of a soft drink or a caramel. It’s a homogeneous blend but with nuances. Patchouli is predominant with a hint of oud, giving it a masculine side, but the sweetness brings it closer to the feminine. The subtle amber with musk achieves a balanced and deep whole. When it dries down, it retains the opening scent for a while, but then the base remains. I’ve loved it and the quality is niche.

  I agree with the first review; this scent is addictive and has me head over heels. I own Tygar and understand the inspiration. Although I adore Tygar, this perfume has something extremely pleasurable. I don’t know what’s come over me; it’s the most delicious fresh citrus I’ve ever tried. Niche quality, longevity of 8+ hours, moderate sillage, and it lasts days on clothes. In short, my best purchase of the year. Thank goodness I bought two bottles at once.

  Any Tygar DNA? Absolutely. It’s also compared to Arrakis by Spirit of Kings, Vibrato by Sospiro, Thurati Blu by Afnan, and Aqua de Dora by Pana Dora, among others. The opening of all of them is very similar and memorable. What makes Kajal III special is a more effervescent and sweet opening, and when it dries down it becomes more aromatic and amber, whereas Tygar leans towards a dry, fine wood. It lasts excellently for its type: a maximum of six hours with good projection in the first hour. It’s normal for citrus scents to claim 10–12 hours, which makes me doubt. Would I buy it? No, I already have Tygar, which is of superior quality, so it would be redundant. If you don’t have Tygar and don’t want to spend what the gem costs, go for Kajal III; of all the ones mentioned, after Tygar, this is the one I’ve liked the most. You’ll be happy spending less than a fortune.

  As others here have noted, it shares an DNA with Bulgari’s Tygar thanks to that grapefruit citrus opening, but then it takes a different path: it becomes amber and warm with barbershop touches from the lavender and neroli, plus those green resinous notes of rosemary. The patchouli and musk give it a powdery edge that Tygar lacks. Personally, it’s the one people tell me smells the best on me.

  If you’re in Spain, you have Spirit of Kings’ Arrakis which smells almost identical and saves you €50, plus it lasts longer. From the brand, this was the one that drew me in most due to the scent and opening; it smells great, but on my skin it only lasts 2–4 hours. I was hoping for something more like Kajal, perhaps it’s just not for me; nothing convinces me 100%.
