Almoud is the new release from UAHÍQUE, arriving in 2026. It was created by perfumer Rosa Vaia and belongs to the woody oriental fragrance family, with no gender assigned to it.
The opening is instantly inviting: almond cream, rum and spices. From there, the scent develops into something smokier and woodier, with a soft, sweet richness.
The top notes are softly sweet, but not in a childish way. Almond cream and rum bring comfort, while the spice adds a warm edge that sets up the darker heart.
In the middle, bitter almond and white flowers sit alongside woody notes and smoke. This contrast gives Almoud a subtle tension, making it feel more complex than a standard oriental.
The base is a sturdy composition of Akigalawood, patchouli, cedar and oud wood. It gives the perfume a resinous, smoky finish with impressive longevity.
With accords of wood, almond, oud, warm spice, nuts, rum, fruit and a gentle sweetness, Almoud has something for a range of tastes. It works well on colder days and in the evening, but it is not too heavy for indoor wear.
