About Ibicus
Ibicus by UAHÍQUE: An Oriental Floral with Character
Ibicus is the new launch from UAHÍQUE, composed by perfumer Rosa Vaia and introduced in 2026. Classified as an Oriental Floral, it has been created for both men and women.
What begins as a fresh, citrusy and gently spiced fragrance soon develops into a warmer, more sensual blend built around tobacco, leather, flowers and balmy woods.
The opening is noticeably crisp: tobacco leaves, geranium, lime, cardamom and elemi bring together aromatic, green and faintly smoky qualities, giving the initial moments a refined brightness.
In the heart, Damask rose and ylang-ylang are enriched by frankincense, rockrose and iris. The leather accord introduces a supple, restrained edge, while hibiscus lends an uncommon floral nuance.
Deeper still, sandalwood, cedar and patchouli form the woody base, joined by vanilla, benzoin, amber and musk. The result is a drydown that feels smooth, persistent and quietly opulent.
The key accords – tobacco, sweet, yellow florals, rose, smoky, fresh spice, florals, citrus, aromatic and leather – show how multi-layered the composition really is.
Rosa Vaia has delivered a fragrance that balances the darker side of oriental perfumery with the airy elegance of florals, making it both distinctive and wearable.
Ibicus is for those who appreciate unisex scents with a bold yet elegant personality. If you like rich floral bouquets, tobacco, leather, incense or resinous bases, this fragrance will likely appeal. It suits autumn and winter evenings, but can be worn throughout the day.
With an early rating of 4.5 out of 5, Ibicus has already found a small but enthusiastic audience. It stands as a confident, warm and sophisticated Oriental Floral from UAHÍQUE, one worth trying.
