Reminiscent of classic masculine fragrances from the mid-20th century. Pleasant to smell, but not for everyday wear. Warm, well suited for a mature man on cold days and in the evening. PS: After a few days it changed significantly; now I see it as more feminine, slightly like Shalimar. I still think it is for winter, but I no longer see it as clearly masculine.
The most masculine unisex in the amber collection. I know of no similar ones on this page. I notice a strong combination of cinnamon, clove, and amber; in the dry-down it recalls Zara Pistachio Infusion. It has good longevity and projection. For me it is too masculine and spicy; I will try it in winter, now in July with 40°C in Madrid it is not wearable. I have a quick review on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube @probadoaprobado.
A rather heavy, spicy fragrance that should be tested in colder weather.
In store, it reminded me of the Mercadona Amber extract. It lasted three hours, smells good but fades quickly and is less intense than the Mercadona one, which lasts all day. In both, the scent does not project; it is only noticeable close to the skin. Without the other, I would have passed due to the spicy notes, but it is expensive relative to the longevity. Smells of kola nut, cardamom, and milk. Rich, milky, and spicy. An autumnal marvel, edible and elegant, comforting. Many remember it as the discontinued OudNoir from Mercadona; mine from Mercadona I grabbed out of desperation and is the one that resembles it most. Wish Zara would release a Mercadona clone, where are we heading?
I tried it in-store and it smells like that Mercadona Amber extract I have. It lasted three hours; it smells good but fades away and is less intense than the Mercadona one, which lasted all day. In both cases, it’s a scent that doesn’t project, only felt close to the skin. If I didn’t already have the other, I’d think about it, as I love spiced scents, but it’s expensive relative to its longevity. It smells of cola nut, cardamom, and milk; it’s very rich, lactonic, and spiced. A wonderful autumnal blend of nuances. It comes across as rich, edible, and elegant all at once. So comforting, I like it very much. By the way, anyone say it’s similar to the discontinued Mercadona OudNoir… I picked it up out of desperation when I couldn’t find the original; it’s the one that reminds me of it most (I’ve tried countless others hoping to find it but can’t). Wish Zara would release a Mercadona clone, where are we heading!!!
Totally agree with Amorperfumado: this smells like the Mercadona extract. I also tried another Zara extract that reminded me of a Mercadona men’s extract. It is not surprising, as Zara and Mercadona share a manufacturer; one should check the boxes. I miss Oud Noir, good, beautiful, and cheap, a true gem.
Tested in summer, the cinnamon was intense. I waited until September to buy it; with the cold in my city, I will enjoy it more. The opening is rich: cinnamon like a cinnamon cherry tart, refreshing and tasty, not cloying. Then the cinnamon shines with clove and a bitter cherry (at first I confused it with dates). It is smoked, dark cherry, with woods, tobacco, clove, amber, and that tasty touch. The dry-down is marvellous, better than average. Warm, elegant, it perfumes the hair, the liquid is oily. I like it more than Angels Share. Seems like a bomb for longevity. Ideal for autumn/winter. Beautiful, mature, unisex, not an adolescent gourmand. Very oriental, warm, and spicy.
Addictive and enveloping, evoking a Christmas cake. Beyond the spices and amber, I notice a spicy kick (pepper or ginger) and a sweetness that could be cardamom. Totally milky and creamy, like hot milk with burnt sugar. A wonderful oriental and Christmas gem at once. What a pity they are discontinuing it; I bought it for €12.99. Unisex.
A Zara fragrance that hooks you instantly, wrapping you in notes that smell like Christmas cake. Although the technical sheet only mentions spices and amber, I detect, in addition to cinnamon and clove in the opening, a spiciness that could be black pepper or ginger, alongside a sweetness that perhaps comes from cardamom. It’s super milky and creamy, like hot spiced milk with a touch of burnt sugar. It’s an oriental and Christmas blend all at once, if such a thing exists. What a pity they’re going to discontinue it. I just grabbed the last one at a ridiculous price of £12.99. It’s totally unisex.
Ambery and sweet scent, potent but with no projection; it reminds me of Hermès Ambre Narguile. I detect cinnamon, vanilla, or caramel. One of the best things I’ve smelled from Zara in a long time and highly recommended for its price. Unisex.
Ambery and sweet scent, powerful yet with poor projection; reminiscent of Hermès Ambre Narguilé. I detect cinnamon, vanilla, and caramel. Best from Zara in a long time and highly recommended for the price. Unisex.
