  Maiora Parfum’s Ask is a realistic marine scent that evokes a corner of the Mediterranean where vegetation meets the sand of a solitary beach, all blended with a tranquil yet capricious breeze. It opens with sea salt and a refreshing touch of juniper, before the aromatic heart of eucalyptus softens the marine blend throughout its evolution. While it follows the line of sharp aquatic scents, here it is balsamic and finishes on an ambered, woody base that calms. At first, it reminds me of Acqua di Sale, but it has more body and depth thanks to that aromatic note. It’s a fragrance of good quality, pleasant, and with excellent longevity. I wear it in spring or autumn, or in summer if the temperature doesn’t exceed 35 degrees, ideal for semi-formal situations or a relaxed evening. What I like most is the artisanal packaging: hand-painted bottles, wooden box, and the current model with a cord and wax seal on the cap, something most brands ignore. As always, test niche perfumes on your skin before buying; don’t trust only the notes on paper or ratings, in the end, it’s you who decides which scent you enjoy.
