  The first Baruti I tried, Perverso, had a spectacular opening but a dry-down that didn’t convince me; over time, it became indifferent. With this one, the opposite happened: I tried it by chance, not attracted by the notes, and I loved it. It’s long-lasting, noticeable without being overpowering, ideal for everyday wear. It’s bold yet has a very pleasant fruity touch. What I feel most is that fruit, I suppose plum. The base is very resinous, with sweet myrrh and bitter, smoky incense clearly noticeable. There’s wood, though I don’t detect the oud. I see it as unisex, perfect for mild or cool days and informal situations. Scent: 9, Longevity: 8, Sillage: 7.5, Value for money: 5, Originality: 8, Versatility: 10, Overall: 8.5

  My first Baruti was Perverso, that challenging scent that people either love or hate, but it certainly grabs attention. Berlin Im Winter left me cold; I expected something else. I perceive it as a blend of resins and balms with a coffee note that simply doesn’t work for me. It lacks character; I can’t even detect the plum, which is what I should be smelling. The longevity is decent for cold weather, but I can’t see what it’s really for, as the perfume tells me nothing. Total disappointment.
