About Bosphorus
Bosphorus: Clear Marine Light on Cedar and Musk
Bosphorus by Royal Platinum, introduced in 2023, is a woody-aquatic fragrance made for both women and men. It was composed by Semih Said Kodal with a luminous, tranquil marine character in mind.
Bergamot and acid lime-lemon lead the top, seaweed with calone and Hedione form the heart, and musk with ambroxan and cedarwood shape the base.
At first spray the emphasis is on clarity. Bergamot offers a green-toned lift and the zesty lemon brings a sharp, clean freshness reminiscent of open water and sea air.
Then the marine heart comes forward. Seaweed lends a saline vegetal quality, calone deepens the damp seaside feel, while Hedione contributes airy, petal-like transparency.
In the base, cedarwood draws a neat, dry outline. Musk softens it with a talc-like veil and ambroxan leaves a mineral-ambery warmth that holds the composition together.
The overall accord profile blends citrus, fresh, marine, aquatic and aromatic facets with woody, musky, amber and floral undertones, kept light throughout.
With its unisex balance, the fragrance avoids excess sweetness or bite. It presents itself as a versatile daytime choice for admirers of precise, contemporary woody-aquatic perfumery.
It will appeal to those who favour fresh, citrus-led marine fragrances on a tidy timber base. Well suited to lovers of transparent unisex scents for everyday wear.
Bosphorus delivers a composed, modern woody-aquatic statement: vivid citrus, sheer marine heart and a musk, ambroxan and cedarwood foundation. A measured Royal Platinum creation by Semih Said Kodal.
