  Good Night Out: very green at first, in the first 20 minutes. Then comes what I’m looking for, that blend of lavender and vetiver giving it a very typical barbershop lotion scent, soft and refreshing. In the end, it settles into a classic smell, almost like artisanal soap; the vetiver persists and blends with a very soft sandalwood. Despite being on the market for 50 years, it still enjoys great success and many remember it as a classic. It suits a wide age range; I think it’s very appropriate for people from 20 onwards, suitable for winter, spring, and fresh mornings when the garden is damp and the sun is just rising. Very masculine perfume, no doubt about it.

  One of those classics that stays with you for a lifetime. I first smelled it at nine when an older cousin was shaving. Since then, it’s been like a time machine, bringing back cassettes, shoulder-mounted recorders, jeans, and huge trainers. A super masculine fragrance, typical of a barbershop—the scent of an era when men smelled of barbershops, not flowers or chocolate like nowadays.
