Carmen Macchiato by Nina Lamaison

It’s very good. As soon as I put on the perfume, I felt an intense aroma (which I love in a perfume), however, on my skin, it doesn’t represent a finished fragrance. It’s as if I were in front of a table where I have everything: the coffee, the spices, the cream, etc., but I haven’t started preparing it yet. At the opening, I smell a lot of cinnamon, coffee, and the bitterness of hazelnuts (which I even think are declared in the heart). Nothing liqueur-like from the Amaretto, nor anything sweet. Then I smell the cookies and the chocolate – which I find bitter – and this combination ends up predominating on me for several hours. Already when the fragrance is fading, a lactonic note appears. I understand that on me, the perfume doesn’t round out the idea, all those delicious notes it declares don’t amalgamate. I don’t find it sweet (I expected a bomb of extraordinary sweetness to crush me) and also I see it as very little versatile. Maybe only to go out for a drink with friends or go for a walk in the afternoon. I can’t imagine myself wearing it at work, on a daily basis, let alone on a romantic dinner. Although I find it very adult (>30), I wouldn’t find that much use for it. In summary: although the perfume doesn’t represent the experience I expected, I must say that you can tell it’s a very good quality perfume (it lasted more than 4 hours on me) and I assure you it has a good sillage and great projection. You can see the undisputed work of Nina Lamaison and Ori Russo, who always make great perfumes. Surely there will be those who enjoy it and wear it more than me. In my case, I don’t feel it’s a perfume I can wear with pleasure. Aroma: 7/10 Projection: 10/10 Sillage: 10/10 Longevity: 4/10 Versatility: 5/10 Intensity: 10/10
