Centaurus by Creed is a spicy oriental fragrance for men and women. This creation, launched in 2024, unfolds a fragrance pyramid where the top notes combine cinnamon, tobacco, cardamom and pink pepper. • At first, I thought it was just another commercial fragrance, but it has nothing to do with Spicebomb. It’s super sweet, ambered and syrupy, with lots of cinnamon and an elegant touch. It leans more towards Grand Soir. I don’t detect any tobacco, just cinnamon drowned in a thick syrup. It needs to be worn with moderation on the neck; it’s strong and for special occasions only, nothing for the office. Ideal for going out at night or a winter Sunday. Edit: this morning, without even getting close, I could already smell bursts of tobacco wafting from my arm after 20 hours.

  • At first, I thought it was just another Spicebomb clone, but it’s nothing like it. It’s incredibly sweet, ambered and syrupy, with lots of cinnamon and an elegant touch. It feels closer to Grand Soir. I don’t detect any tobacco, just cinnamon drowned in a thick syrup. Be careful where you apply it; it’s potent and best for special occasions, not the office. Perfect for a night out or a winter Sunday. Edit: this morning, without even getting close, I could smell waves of tobacco drifting from my arm after 20 hours.

  • It reminds me of a blend between Layton and Red Tobacco. Easy to wear and pleasant. Edition: I think the Al Haramain Dubai Night follows the same line.

  • Creed Centaurus is a top-tier spiced oriental, dominated by exquisite tobacco that dances with cinnamon, vanilla, benzoin, tonka bean and sandalwood. The result is a warm, slightly sweet fragrance with atomic performance. Some might find it too much, but for me it’s an absolute delight. As a tobacco addict, I know I’ll love it and so will many others. Just be careful to try it before buying; although the price is controversial as it often is with this house, it’s worth it for the quality and performance.

I tried it alongside Delphinus. It doesn’t seem unisex in the slightest. This is a powerhouse masculine tobacco perfume in the style of the 70s and 80s. The best way to describe it is CK Obsession for women worked up to a virile aspect; the tobacco is so raw it smells almost animalistic, like when you remove the soot and tar from a pipe. It’s very rich, of excellent quality. As we say here, it’s a stunner of a scent. I see it as unsuitable for all occasions and specific for winter, unless you live in Antarctica, Canada, Iceland, northern Europe, Greenland, or the mountains. I’ll stick with other Creeds, like Aventus and Green Irish Tweed.

  • I’ve realised that those reviewing this gem are children with little olfactory experience… I mean, children in their 20s and 30s. This isn’t for you; it’s pure gold for gentlemen in their 40s like us. You are the ones wearing Invictus, Millionaires, and all those trendy unisex lines, sweet and vanilla-scented. This perfume embodies strength, masculinity, character, seriousness, and above all, personality.

To be honest, I didn’t like it. I tried it in a perfumery and at first it smelled of the worst mosquito repellent, a horrible scent. It wasn’t until two hours later that I detected a good, slightly sweet cinnamon note. But if I have to wait two hours for it to smell good, I’d prefer not to buy it.

  • Cinnamon, lots of cinnamon, and woody notes. Totally unisex. Easy to like, but I can’t imagine anyone under 30 wearing this.

  • I’ve realised that those reviewing this gem are children with little olfactory experience… let me be clear, I’m talking about people in their 20s and 30s… this isn’t for you; this is pure gold for gentlemen in their 40s like us… you are the type for Invictus, Million, and all those trendy unisex lines that are sweet and vanilla-scented… this fragrance embodies strength, masculinity, character, seriousness, and above all, personality.

  • Did not like it. Honestly, this isn’t niche; it’s not worth the price. It’s like Mancera Red Tobacco with cough syrup. If someone enjoys it, I applaud and respect them, but it’s not for Centaurus or Crimson.
