If I had to describe it in a few words, it’s pure gourmand elegance. From the first spray, I feel the almond and flower wrapping me in a soft veil, with a creamy vanilla that doesn’t weigh you down. Everything blends in harmony: nothing stands out, leaving an exquisitely balanced scent. The woody base gives it character and sophistication, moving it away from typical sweets. It’s warm and comforting, yet elegant enough to avoid being cloying. The performance has surprised me: it lasts over 10 hours on skin and leaves a delicate but constant sillage, ideal for those who want to be enveloping without being invasive. It’s very versatile: perfect for autumn and winter, or crisp spring days and summer evenings when you want to feel snug. I bought it blind and it was a total success. I only regret not grabbing the 100ml, because I know it will be one of those fragrances I always want to have. A magical perfume, like smelling a Fairy Queen, combining tenderness and elegance. 🌸✨
This is truly a good almond perfume and not Blanche bête… unpopular opinion. If you like almonds, this is yours. I’m not a huge fan for two reasons: the classic bitterness and because it feels too feminine. Everyone else I’ve heard about this note has disappointed me. But this Chemin d’amande… has outplayed the game. It’s the best-balanced almond on the market. Not bitter at all, balanced with vanilla, very elegant. It’s not overly sweet or bitter… it’s right in the perfect middle. As it dries down, the fruity almond fades and the floral almond with wood rises, leaving an exquisite scent. Well worth trying.
I admit the opening hit me hard, but the dry-down is another world entirely 😍😍😍😍😍. The dry-down is spectacular, and I’m telling you this as someone who isn’t a fan of almonds. It’s exactly what I wanted ITALICA to be, and it has delivered. It’s an ode to sweet almonds with a touch of wood. I love it.
Buaaaaaaaa, it’s finally here. Smells a ton like Mewish from Paris Corner, but with vastly superior quality. Truth be told, they’re clones.
