Mehwish by PARIS CORNER

Very sweet opening but not cloying where I feel many honeyed and vanilla-drenched nuts highlighting especially the almonds although they are in combination with pistachios. A sweetness and creaminess that seems innocent but has a dark and addictive base. The honey is as if it were drizzling abundantly over the almonds and pistachios giving the fragrance a somewhat milky character but also very slightly bitter just right. Vanilla and tonka bean always accompany; one feels an amber and warm scent on a bed of orange blossom flowers and very weakly bergamot zest. It seems like a very nice little dessert. At the third hour that rich honey that vanilla and tonka bean pump up with more strength over those nuts. Normally I do not like the pistachio note in fragrances nor much the almonds but here they are worked so well with the other notes that I love them such as the honey the orange blossom which fascinates me the vanilla and the tonka bean so that it results in a very beautiful scent as a whole. Projection and sillage are quite perceptible in the first 3 hours fixed on my skin for 11-12 hours lasts weeks on clothes. Ideal for autumn-winter. A fantastic unisex nocturnal and seductive perfume that I highly recommend.

Mehwish smells like what I imagined an Arabic perfume to be before entering this world. It is a warm blend of nuts orange blossom and an indeterminate but very enveloping sweetness (probably due to the honey vanilla and tonka bean). It is pure pastry with an elegant touch and that orange blossom stands out but subtly like in the Three Kings cake. In the end almost all sweets in Spain have an Arabic DNA so the scent feels familiar. Within the gourmand fashion it is not a simple perfume; it has nuances and smells like having a cup of bergamot tea with a baklava in a nice oriental sweets café. Note that the almond and pistachio touch is more ‘green’ (nothing like the usual ice cream pistachio) although it has a slight candied sugar hint especially if you accent it by layering with another gourmand. Regarding the similarity with Khamrah Mehwish lacks the alcoholic note and spices; it is lighter but it is true they could be cousins. Do not let bad reviews fool you; in the end everyone tells the story as it goes for them and every skin or taste is different: try it first let it settle on the skin and decide. The bottle and packaging are spectacular and collectible. A 10/10 layering with the perfume Dulzura.

I think the bottle is more spectacular than the scent. I detect vague sweet vanilla-drenched notes. It is like a generic sweet oriental mishmash. As I already have perfumes with this profile but more personal I do not need it. Luckily I bought a decant.
