Citrusy, spiced-aromatic and woody vetiver that I believe is true to the described notes, with quite a bit of juniper in the opening. It’s a fresh scent but nothing informal or youthful; I see it as suitable for a more mature man: a typical versatile and elegant fragrance for everyday wear. I haven’t worn it for many hours to comment on performance, but it impresses me as similar to others from the house. It’s good, but honestly, it doesn’t blow me away, not even for my partner.
Tamed vetiver, almost cosmetic, powdery and very well-behaved. The spices, particularly the cardamom, take centre stage and rest upon a warm, amber base with a hint of vanilla. Just as vetiver roots live underground, here the vetiver hides within the composition, supporting it without imposing itself.
