I have great respect for brands that use quality ingredients and create refined, natural perfumes like Chocolat. Of course, with that name, cocoa is the standout element within the gourmand genre, featuring multiple facets but primarily a fruity note of mandarin and a floral touch of jasmine that blends perfectly, always supporting the cocoa with vanilla in the background. It’s not an overly sugary gourmand; it has the right dosage to avoid being cloying, evoking the sensation of dark chocolate. Nutmeg notes also stand out, adding personality, while the vanilla ties everything together to make Chocolat seem entirely credible and convincingly edible. All this creates the feeling of being inside a patisserie with display cases full of bonbons. The composition is excellent and balanced, with medium longevity and sillage that doesn’t lean towards any specific gender. It’s a good fragrance that could be superb for night outings, but be careful—it can be dangerously addictive. Rating: 6.5
