Sometimes we think price is everything, but Colonial Club Jeanne Arthes is a bargain that puts a smile on your face. It’s modern, smells great, and lasts a brutal 12-14 hours on my skin, something perfumes costing twenty times more fail to achieve. It leaves a comforting trail at first. Yes, it’s a bit synthetic, but the blend is well-harmonised, without any harshness. It’s not overly sweet; patchouli stands out, with fruits, mint and woody spices that improve with time. Ideal for informal wear, with friends, or for everyday use. If you’re looking for something fun and fresh, this is your spot.

The opening smells a bit synthetic and I don’t detect much of the citrus touch; it feels more floral to me. However, it improves over time and settles well. The jasmine is very noticeable, although the base and dry-down give it a more masculine feel. The longevity is good (requires moderate reapplication) and the trail is moderate, fading gradually. In my opinion, it’s perfect for spring. For the price, it’s highly recommended.

  4. It’s a high-quality fragrance with excellent longevity. It’s citrusy and fresh, yet the fruity notes dominate throughout its evolution, making it versatile for any weather. It’s not intrusive, but it is long-lasting. It feels very similar to the Thallium Sport fragrance.
