Como Tú Santal by Mercadona

I tried this perfume yesterday morning to see how it performs, as I’ve read on occult blogs that sandalwood acts as a natural relaxant to promote mental clarity. I went for a wander around the hippies in my village to find the essential oil, but before that I wanted to test on my skin what it’s like, in case I’m allergic or it brings up my acid, as I’m quite sensitive to woody notes, especially those from the Middle East (I’m not generationally accustomed to such exotic, resinous, and to my taste rather heavy scents). This perfume has a rather lovely magnolia opening, a fresh flower that gradually settles into the sandalwood, which is the heart of this whole fragrance. I really enjoyed smelling my forearm throughout the day, and it did stir up some rather unusual emotions for me, but it didn’t make me dizzy or give me indigestion as I expected 😂 The scent reminds me of tea tree oil or eucalyptus infusion, but less mentholated. It’s refreshing and relaxing. It also reminds me of the smell of hair after swimming in the sea. I was absolutely amazed by its longevity, I woke up this morning with my arm still perfumed, and it even withstood the shower water. The fragrances from Mercadona have really surprised me lately; they’re only supermarket perfumes, but they have exceptional quality. They’re a luxury of great quality and wide variety. This particular one has decent performance and a ridiculously low price of €8. What a shame that this website doesn’t show the entire selection of their perfumes because I think everyone should know about them 😂 I’ll show them to my foreign mates, they’ll be gobsmacked. I love the cherry one they have now, I don’t care what you think, it’s the best cherry perfume I’ve come across so far; I’ve tried several from designer drugstores and none of them convince me… €8 for a tart and tasty cherry that lasts 6-8 hours on your skin… Girl, what more do you want.
