  The packaging is exquisite, from the cardboard box with the bottle snugly fitted and wrapped in botanical-style paper to the fluted glass bottle with its substantial metal cap and label. But what truly captivates me is the scent. While other leathers are suede-like or dry, this is a bright, polished leather, a delightful olfactory experience of 100% artisanal Italian perfumery. It is a sublime, refined leather, as subtle as its name suggests. It has intoxicated me with floral notes of iris and rose, woods, and a lasting amber. It opens with sweet mandarin, ripe grapefruit, coriander, and pink pepper, evolving into violet, iris, jasmine, rose, and tiare. The heart features amber, cedar, musk, benzoin, myrrh, and a touch of vanilla that I can detect when I smell my own hand. The magic lies in the dry-down: that noiseless, elegant, standout leather. It boasts notable longevity of 8-9 hours, opulent yet unobtrusive, with that floral-woody touch. ArteOlfatto is an Italian niche house founded in 1950 by Luigi Nappo, and although they do not claim to be perfumers, there are clearly great noses at work behind the scenes.
