Dark Subtle Teas, from Régime des Fleurs, is a woody aromatic fragrance for women and men. Launched in 2026, it is the work of nose Alia Raza.
The formula is built around black tea, red rooibos tea and yerba mate, with bergamot, bitter orange and benzoin above and cedar, patchouli and vetiver below.
Bergamot and bitter orange meet benzoin at the outset. The result is fresh and citrus-led, tempered by a soft resinous and amber quality.
At the centre lies the trio of teas behind the name. Black tea lends a smoky depth, red rooibos an earthy, mellow warmth, and yerba mate a green, herbal lift with a fresh-spiced accent.
The heart remains dry and aromatic, steering clear of sweetness. Its interest comes from the interplay of verdant and smoked elements, freshness set against earthiness.
Cedar, patchouli and vetiver form the foundation. Cedar brings a clean woody frame, patchouli an earthy fullness, and vetiver a dry, green finish that echoes the mate.
The trajectory is legible throughout: citrus brightness giving way to brewed leaves, then settling into dark, dry timber.
