It’s a sweet floral with an almond touch; on my skin I don’t feel the coconut, which is a relief because it gives me headaches. Despite being versatile, it smells powerful and intense, with more than enough trail and strength. It leans more towards the feminine side. I’ll keep testing it to provide more details. See you soon.
Montale and my skin are not compatible, I’m sorry. Day Dreams barely registers, it fades within hours, and although it starts soft, it smells like a generic white floral that Givenchy or Estée Lauder have already given me. It doesn’t distinguish flowers, just that standard white blend. Zero originality, four hours of longevity, and no projection after the first hour. Definitely, Montale and I just don’t get along 😅
It’s a perfume that gives me olfactory fatigue right away, but my surprise is that everyone praises it afterwards, even though I don’t feel it; that’s why they say it sits close to the skin… just to give you an idea, it smells like face cream. And apparently it has lots of sillage and projection, although I don’t feel it, everyone asks me what I’m wearing. So before reviewing, consider what your olfactory fatigue is with certain notes; it would have given me a lesson on how to review compared to all of you.
I don’t understand why this Day Dreams has such a low rating. I think its olfactory pyramid is sincere and intuitive; it smells like the beach, sunscreen, or body cream, but in any of those three cases, it feels of very high quality, with more complexity than the average perfume of this type and without marine accords that dirt up the scent. You can detect the white flowers, the sweetness of the vanilla, and a very subtle creamy coconut. Its evolution is fairly linear, but it never loses its projection strength. It’s more feminine than masculine, ideal for summer and heat. Although it’s not the most original perfume, the way all its aspects intertwine makes it a very special experience. Rating: 8.5/10. Tested from the brand’s discovery set.

Montale’s Day Dreams is a classic white floral that stands out thanks to its distinctive touch from the tiare flower. It’s complemented by a hint of citrus from the orange and the sweetness of vanilla, creating a very pleasant composition. Its performance is more than acceptable; although it might not project much, it lasts quite a while on the skin, easily staying for over 8 hours. This makes it an interesting option for floral lovers looking for something fresh and delicate. I recommend it to those who appreciate well-executed floral scents, as it’s excellent for various occasions.
A summery floral fragrance with a solar profile but very subtle, I think it leans more towards the feminine side. It’s lovely, unique, and very well executed. You can appreciate the sandalwood and the creamy coconut, like coconut milk, alongside vanilla and white flowers. In the dry down there’s mandarin, which fortunately doesn’t linger or blends in well, because on my skin citrus notes tend to be harsh. Longevity is excellent and projection is moderate to high. You can feel the quality. I’m not a fan of perfumes that smell like sunscreen with coconut, but the touch is minimal and not significant, so I’ve bought it as my first fragrance of this profile.
A summery floral fragrance with very subtle solar notes, clearly leaning towards the feminine side. It’s lovely, unique, and very well executed. You can detect the sandalwood and a creamy coconut, like coconut milk, alongside vanilla and white flowers. In the opening, there’s mandarin, which fortunately doesn’t linger or blends in so well that I can’t perceive it; I say fortunately because citrus notes tend to sound harsh on my skin rather than pretty. The longevity is excellent and the projection is medium to high. You can feel the quality of the notes. I’m not a fan of perfumes that smell like sunscreen with coconut, but it has a touch that associates with that in the evolution without being significant, so I’ve bought it as my first fragrance of this profile.
