Lavender is a two-edged sword: pure oil smells strong and medicinal, while cheap air fresheners betray the true scent. Yet nothing rivals a lavender field in Provence or sun-drenched Mediterranean slopes. This cologne captures that natural freshness—light and unburdened. Floral notes dominate with an herbaceous touch (rosemary, mint, and thyme) and a dry base; the citrus opening fades quickly, leaving a woody trail, perhaps cedar. It is neither linear nor flat, but rather more subtle and original than classics like Atkinsons’ English Lavender. It fulfils its role as simple and refreshing, yet evocative: it brings to mind summer walks in the countryside and my grandmother’s dressing table, where lavender was mandatory. Note: my opinion is based on an old bottle from the 70s or 80s; I have not tried the current versions.
