Its character comes from contrast: brisk teas up top, a deep lactonic heart, and a quiet foundation of light woods and musk.
Matcha tea, black tea and bergamot open the scent. The impression is verdant and aromatic with citrus lift, the slight astringency of tea holding back the gourmand side for a while.
At the centre, almond milk, milk and whipped cream meet pistachio, vanilla and tonka bean. The result is milky and nutty, gently sweet and powdery, with vanilla at its most enveloping.
The dry-down rests on vetiver, sandalwood and musk. Vetiver preserves a dry green thread, sandalwood lends smooth woody creaminess, and musk leaves a soft, tidy finish.
Rather than a dense, dark vanilla, this is a bright version: freshness first, then comfort, always framed by wood. The sweetness feels measured, never cloying.
The perfumer's hand is evident in the restraint — creaminess is allowed to bloom yet remains edged by tea at the start and by woods at the close, giving the oriental theme a present-day feel.
