  Oh, what a beauty, straight to heaven! I absolutely adored it. It’s pure nostalgia. I can’t quite put my finger on what inhabits this magical formulation, but it transports me to a safe haven from the nineties, to some luxurious gel from that era, to indulgence, curling up in a comfy little bed, softness. It’s clear, elegant, with a sleepy-afternoon-in-the-sun touch, a spring siesta when it’s still cool but summer is just beginning to arrive. It has a myriad of ingredients that reinforce that feeling of comfort and protection: cardamom, tonka bean, and the deep yet light skin note of cashmere, which I associate with freshly washed blankets, justified laziness, no stress. Being a little girl again. Not having to attend to Outlook. Not knowing what Excel means. There’s an indescribable melancholic hint, softly aquatic, and yes, a perceptible lilac, or that’s what it evokes: lilacs. Original yet familiar, well-made, with an impression of a creamy, waxy, powdery flower that’s very wearable. Close to the skin, for personal pleasure, a wonder. It feels like spending an afternoon in a country cottage surrounded by almost dried bouquets, the kind that populate Provençal fields that the mind can recreate… but with a touch of talc, unisex. Very sentimental, I know, but who wouldn’t occasionally want to be rocked by perfumes that sound like lullabies for adults? A sheer perfume delight, pity its price per millilitre, far too expensive, and it doesn’t leave a huge trail.
