A hidden gem: limited to just 50 customers a year, available only in 75ml and exclusive to the London boutique. SB #24 opens with raspberry and rose among other florals, over a light almond and tonka bean base. It has little development and modest performance, yet it’s versatile and unisex with a clear feminine lean. What I love most is how delicate, soft and polished it is; nothing is irritating or nose-tingling. It’s a floral with a gourmand surname, but don’t expect anything dense or excessively sweet despite the edible notes. It didn’t blow my mind, but it’s very enjoyable – rich is the word. Xerjoff’s Symphonium is one of the best gourmands I’ve smelled and bears a strong resemblance to SB #24, though not in scent as they are very different; I’m comparing them only because both are soft, delicate, unisex with a feminine lean and suit the same occasions. SB #24 could easily be disguised and sold in a bottle from Xerjoff’s 17/17 Stone Label collection – it’s delicate and refined. Now comes the ugly part: you have to pay $800 for the bottle. Are they worth it? For me, yes. Good perfume.
