Oceania by Roja Dove is an aromatic woody fragrance, created for men and women. Launched in 2019, this olfactive composition was designed by Roja Dove himself. In its opening, the fragrance unveils a vibrant top note of lavender, grapefruit, lemon, lime, bergamot, mandarin, rosemary, thyme and may chang. The heart reveals a delicate floral bouquet with violet, jasmine, sambac jasmine, geranium and ylang-ylang. The base settles on a woody and resinous foundation featuring iris, musk, cedar, moss, juniper berries, vetiver, sandalwood, galbanum, benzoin, labdanum and vanilla.

Perhaps the name ‘Oceania’ invites one to think of dark marine tones, but no. To me, it evokes luxury holidays on the coast, a fresh summer breeze at sunset with a floral scent, mixed with a clean, crisp white shirt just put on. Sitting at a polished cedar table with freshly cut fruit. It’s not a ‘difficult’ aroma, but its notes are wonderfully blended. It’s fresh and modern, hitting the mark where others fail, especially in projection and longevity. It opens with evident citrus/greens (lemon, bergamot, lime, mandarin) accompanied by juicy fruit and floral touches. The dry down is an energetic, luminous, and sparkling hit, ideal for a summer day with batteries at 100%. As it dries, the citrus relaxes, leaving fleshy flowers embraced by the fruits. At five hours, moss, vetiver, cedar, iris, and musk appear, giving a slightly woody and powdery base, very comforting. But, is it worth the price? Obviously not. With a discount? It’s possible, but don’t go blind and test before.
To sum it up: it smells like fabric softener; that’s the first scent that comes to my mind. If you want to smell clean for an outdoor meal in the countryside, go ahead, but there are more affordable options. Test before buying, or else you’ll take a huge shock.
I had high expectations, but it disappointed me. I don’t know if they called it Oceania because it’s marine or to pay homage to the kangaroo continent; the truth is it doesn’t smell of the sea. It’s quality fabric softener, a clean and soapy scent, nothing novel or head-turning, super unisex, even more feminine than masculine. The opening reminds me a lot of Nautica Classic, just with greater quality, but paying the fortune they ask is suicide.
Without a doubt, after testing it on a sample I decided to buy the 100ml bottle on offer from Burlington. First, it’s addictive and sexy. Its projection is moderate to strong, without being annoying, and being a fresh citrus, its longevity is above average: comfortably 8 to 10 hours, feeling strong for the first 4. Its aroma is like containing the ocean breeze in a bottle, aromatised and trapped. That is Oceania by Roja Dove.
I love this brand; Oceania is another example of Roja’s great beauty. I know I sound commercial, but every day I convince myself that Roja is the best in the world. I simply love every creation. Oceania smells like clean, freshly washed blankets laid out on the beach alongside a semi-sweet yellow lemonade full of ice. Unisex; I’m a man and I wear it without issues, but I wouldn’t mind seeing a woman wear it either. As it dries, you note semi-acidic citrus, a futuristic and very agreeable aroma. Recommended.
This is the worst disappointment I’ve suffered in perfumery. The aquatic aspect is non-existent; it smells like baby powder or a diaper, or a towel with fabric softener. I don’t know really, it’s linear with zero evolution, at least on my skin. The quality-to-price ratio is terrible; I wouldn’t pay even $50 for this. Thank goodness I only bought a 10ml decant, enough to know what it was. Times are not good. I don’t usually speak so badly, but what it costs versus what it offers is disappointing. I respect those who love it for the brand, which has masterpieces, but this one in particular is very bad.
Roja Parfums never misses, and Oceania is proof of their class. Every scent from the house tells a story of luxury and detail, and this is no exception. It captures the feeling of a fresh coastal breeze, where the scent of freshly laundered clothes blends with the sweet citrus tang of a well-chilled lemonade. It’s clean, vibrant, and effortlessly elegant. Undoubtedly unisex: I wear it, but it would suit a woman beautifully too. As it develops, it leaves a trail of crystal-clear citrus with a light sweetness, almost futuristic in its purity. It’s a fragrance that conveys calm and sophistication, ideal for those seeking freshness without the conventional. Highly recommended.
Roja Parfums never misses, and Oceania is proof of their mastery. Every fragrance tells a story of luxury and detail. Here, they capture the sea breeze mixed with freshly laundered linens and a well-chilled lemonade. It’s clean, vibrant, and effortlessly elegant. A safe unisex choice: I wear it, but it would look incredible on a woman too. It evolves, leaving crystalline citrus with a light, almost futuristic sweetness. It conveys calm and sophistication, ideal for those seeking freshness without the conventional. Highly recommended.
To be honest, I don’t know where they got the name Oceania from because it smells like nothing of the sort. It’s pure talcum powder, nothing more. I detect no citrus at all, just a feminine side with that sweet talc that no man would want to wear all day. A total letdown.
