I finally managed to get my hands on this discontinued 50ml bottle of Fendi, thanks to my obsession with collecting every scent the brand has ever released. After reading MarcusRS’s review, I simply couldn’t resist. Upon spraying, it opens with woody citrus, accented by a subtle touch of leather and green tea. I’ve smelled something similar before; the resemblance brings to mind Eau de Gaga. It’s a delightful fragrance, though not overly projective. Perfect for hot weather, but I think it would work beautifully in other seasons too.

I picked up a 50ml bottle of this discontinued scent in my quest to collect as many Fendi perfumes as possible, and based on MarcusRS’s review, I simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Upon spraying, I perceive woody citrus over a subtle leather accented with green tea. It’s a scent I’m sure I’ve smelled before, and upon noting the similarities with other fragrances, it reminds me a bit of Eau de Gaga. The smell is very pleasant, though not very projective; ideal for warm climates, but I don’t think it would clash in other seasons.

A few weeks ago, I spotted this Fendi for Men in a display case. I had no idea it existed, and it looked so unusual and exotic that I bought it blind. Undoubtedly, it is the best blind purchase I have ever made. Fendi has truly earned its place in the industry, thanks to classics like Fendi Uomo, that wonderful floral leather; Theorema, one of the most beautiful herbals I know; or the underrated Fan di Fendi with its warm, liquorish notes. Fendi for Men is, according to Fragrantica, an aromatic woody. Upon application, it smells of angelica with citrusy pepper and a robust pillar of refined leather that blends well with a modern oakmoss accord. From there emerges the violet root, with an acidic note that throughout the fragrance’s life is crowned with tea and jasmine; patchouli vibrates from the base, contributing just the right amount to this round, well-constructed scent, which seems built upon an undisclosed sweet white cedar. The whole, save for its finest note, is very beautiful and refined; at times this suede-like floral-acidic blend touches unisex ground with great vibe, at others it skims the edge of the generic and steps into the realm of Mugler Cologne or Eau du Matin by J.P. Gaultier, but ultimately escapes with great class. The best part is its great longevity, which always maintains an elegant and refined aura, where the violet recalls Gucci Pour Homme 2 at times, but being far more long-lasting and present. Fendi for Men is perfect for all four seasons, suits both day and night, it’s a must-have if you like fragrances in the style of Gucci Pour Homme II. Excellent longevity with medium-to-low projection, but always present, a compliment getter. Very hard to find as it was only produced for two years; if you see it, don’t hesitate.
