Descripción

Ferragamo by Salvatore Ferragamo is an aromatic fougère fragrance for men. Launched in 2020, this olfactive composition was created by perfumer Antoine Maisondieu. In its opening, the fragrance unfolds a fresh and vibrant accord of sage, bergamot and lemon. The heart reveals an elegant combination of violet leaf, cedar and leather, while the base settles on a warm and persistent foundation of oakmoss, musk and vetiver.

  • Ferragamo is fresh, aromatic, woody and citrusy. The scent is pleasant and simple. The opening is very aromatic and citrusy; violet is noticeable, and in my opinion, it has aldehydes that give it an acidic touch, enhancing the citrus notes. At this stage, it bears a strong resemblance to Y by Yves Saint Laurent. Over time, it becomes slightly more woody with a shy vetiver and cedar, until the citrus fades. It remains fresh throughout its development, suitable for daytime and casual occasions. I believe it can appeal to any age, especially the young, as it is very youthful. Perhaps due to it being a recent launch and early batches, my bottle had an outstanding longevity: I applied it in the morning and could still detect it close to the skin the next day. Moderate projection that lasts quite a while. I liked it, although I think I might be able to live without it.

  • While it contains notes reminiscent of men’s fragrances from years ago, it doesn’t smell old or leave a ‘déjà vu’ effect like others. It’s elegant without being over-the-top: not niche, yet not that generic masculinity dominating the market today, nor anything breaking the mould. I see it as a scent for a man neither too young nor excessively old, suited for neither a full suit nor overly casual wear. Ideal for urban afternoons in spring and autumn: cedar, violet, oak, vetiver… An elegance with measure and class. A real winner.

It is not a bad fragrance, it is just that it is boring and simple. It smells like any Invictus or Bleu mixed together.

  • I bought it at Isla de Java 33 Madrid, Outlet, for just 10 euros for 50ml… And I have to say it’s very simple, it doesn’t say anything to me, it’s not strong at all, and I don’t recommend it… For that money, you can get Caravan in supermarkets and they smell better… And for fresh ones: Aqua di Gio, Hugo Man, Loewe, Invictus, Cool Water, Fuel for Life… Any of those has more punch than Salvatore Ferragamo.

A charming, sweet, sparkling, youthful, innocent and cheerful fragrance. The opening is citrusy and refreshing, a strange mix of aldehydes, sweet and spicy, and a very marked acidic bergamot. Simply exquisite. I find it very versatile, in the ‘blue’ line, with a simplistic formula that becomes outstanding due to the quality of the ingredients. It moves in an acidic, spicy and soapy aura, with a metallic touch that makes it clean, vibrant and sparkling. The trail is moderate, light and soft, but charming. A subtle violet and touches of sage emerge, like baby powder, very pleasant. In the base, a very light oakmoss is noticeable, wrapped in musk and vetiver, making it an elegant, fine, exquisite, enveloping and intoxicating scent. Very youthful and sensual, close to the skin. Natural adolescent seduction. Suitable for any season, day or night, except when it is very hot because it annihilates it. Preferably for enclosed places with climate control, cinema, class or office. Fixation and trail are moderate. It reminds me of the interior of a new car: luminous, fresh and ethereal. The bottle has the same minimalist and elegant simplicity that qualifies the fragrance. Feeling that sense of cleanliness and freshness, one does not need to demand too much. Lovely greyish glass and the cap with avant-garde details. The scent makes me reflect as a cheerful, joking, charismatic person, free of formalities and seriousness, simply myself. I do not need more.

I tried it today, worn it for a couple of hours, and obviously: I won’t buy it or recommend it. It’s an Eros with lime, without spark or depth. I don’t know where the leather note is… Perhaps if you’re young and just need something pleasant for informal outings, it might suit you, but with Eros Flame, go for the Versace one; it’s much more charming and girls love it.

Ferragamo, Inter Parfums and Antoine Miasondieu do not produce cheap perfumes or shoddy clones like many other houses, especially some Arab ones that go unchallenged. Salvatore Ferragamo is a veteran Italian luxury house in footwear. Luxury is luxury, not rubbish. A pair of good Ferragamo shoes is worth a fortune. This perfume may smell generic, last a short time (it lasts me 5 hours and I ask for no more) and be soft and innocent, but ultimately it is good, versatile and practical for work or the office. Even at a dinner or informal non-clubbing meeting, it works very well; it falls short for clubs. A woman could wear it, although it leans masculine. Yes, it recalls things like Versace Eros EdT (not a cheap clone) or the classic Chanel Platinum Egoiste from the 90s. Some detect notes of YSL Y or Armani Code, but that is a matter of noses. I have them all and have compared them. For teenagers? Absolutely not. Now there are older men lighting up the PR robot, Bad Boy or CH 212, and twentysomethings in Dior, Chanel, Tom Ford, Marly or Creed niches, and nothing happens. If you find it on offer for under 50 euros for 100ml and are looking for a mature alternative to the overdone Eros scent, ignore the sour opinions of old men and grab it without a doubt, blindfolded.

Ferragamo-Inter and Antoine Miasondieu don’t produce rubbish or tacky clones like other brands, especially Arab ones. Salvatore Ferragamo is a veteran Italian house of real luxury. Now there are old men lighting up their PR robot or riding their CH skateboards, and posh twentysomethings with Dior or luxury niche scents, and nothing happens. If you find it on offer for under 50 euros for 100ml and you’re looking for a mature alternative to Eros, ignore the stale opinions and grab it without a doubt.

  • Pleasant, versatile, and very underestimated. If you’re looking for something for everyday wear, the office, or college, it’s a solid option. They aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel; it has everything needed to please anyone; ideal for compliments. Moderate projection and lasts 6-8 hours with five sprays. Opens citrusy, fresh, and slightly sweet. The best part is the dry-down: polished leather, soft and gentle, with vetiver giving a hug to the nose. It’s not the same as Eros, although they share notes; this one stands out. It’s versatile and kind, but not your option for parties: it’s not scandalous and won’t stand out in a club. I recommend it to young people seeking flexibility. Take a look when you’re browsing the shop windows.

  • A super pleasant and highly underrated fragrance. If you are looking for something for everyday life, the office or school, it is a solid option worth a visit. They did not try to reinvent the wheel; it is nothing novel, but it has just enough to please anyone; ideal if you want compliments. It has moderate projection and lasts 6-8 hours with 5 sprays. It opens citrusy, fresh and with a sweet touch. What I love is its dry-down: a very polished, soft and gentle leather appears alongside the vetiver, giving a hug to the nose that wins me over. Do not trust the snobs who call it generic; personally, I do not believe it is the same as Eros; they share notes but this stands out quite a bit. As I say, it is versatile, balanced and very kind to all noses. If what you want is for parties, it is not your case: it is not weak, but neither is it scandalous, and in a nightclub it goes unnoticed. I recommend it to all young people starting in the world who want flexibility in a bottle. When you are in the shops, take a look.

  • Victortor

Smells good but doesn’t say much to me. Opens citrusy, sharp, slightly ozonic and aquatic. The dry-down is fine leather and vetiver, though for me, the violet dominates. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel and is hard not to like, but in this style, I prefer others. It’s summery and refreshing, good for the office.

  • Elk gultier

In my opinion, it’s undervalued. They say it mixes Eros and CH Men, and they’re right, but it surpasses them and takes a different path. Ferragamo smells cleaner and more classic, yet remains youthful. The violet and sage dominate, but they don’t drown out the cedar, leather, or that musky touch. Every note is noticeable. The dry-down is pure leather, with the strongest aroma after hours. The longevity is curious: few sprays (one is worth two), but the trail is brutal, lasting about six hours on skin and longer on clothes. Very versatile: office, gym, dates, or parties. It’s the Ferragamo signature, perfect for wearing with loafers and a rolled-up shirt. Rating: 8.2/10. If it were Mirey: 10/10.

  • Elk gultier

In my opinion, it is very undervalued. I have heard many reviews saying it smells a bit like Eros, a bit like CH Men and blah blah… It is partly true, but I feel it surpasses them and goes another way. Compared to Ferragamo: it is more aromatic, clean, practical, serious and “classic”, but it still retains that youthful touch. Yes, the violet and sage dominate, but they do not mute anything. Whether it is cedar, leather or that talc-like nuance of the musk, you can hear every note without problem. As for the dry-down? What stands out most is the leather. It is not just leather, but it is the scent that lasts the longest. Longevity: it is curious. Everyone says it has “good longevity” dry, but they do not speak of how little it atomises. You spray 5 times, which for other perfumes equals two. So yes, it is more potent than they say: it has a strong trail that is noticeable from afar if applied well, and it lasts about 6 hours on skin. On clothes it lasts much longer, although I do not know how much. Uses: VERY versatile: office, gym, simple outings, dates, parties. It goes well almost anywhere, but its ideal terrain is easy to see. It is Ferragamo’s signature fragrance and not for nothing. It is the type of fragrance you wear with moccasins, beige trousers with creases, a leather belt and a shirt with sleeves rolled up. Final note: 8.2/10. If it were Mirey: 10/10.

  • Salvador Sandoval Luna

A perfect everyday scent, ideal for closed offices. For the price-quality ratio, it’s an excellent purchase. Smells good and isn’t annoying. Without a doubt, it surpassed my prejudices. 100% recommended; it’s a collection you can’t miss.

  • GerardoLedezmaMadas

Delicious! Smells like top-tier leather, even better than Tom Ford. Give it a try: MontBlanc Legend EDP has more violet but follows the same line.
