I loved it!!! It’s the perfect fig: sweet, fruity, slightly creamy yet always fresh. It reminds me of Fico di Amalfi, but less unisex and more feminine. The lotus flower isn’t too aquatic or harsh; it simply adds freshness and transparency.
paired with a fig loaded with fructose and juice
Second airport test of the 2022 holiday season. The opening is marked by an unripe fig, very soft and transparent (as previous reviewers mentioned), which smells like those expensive facial creams advertised as being made with French thermal water and unicorn tears (but they smell exquisite). Once it settles, it immediately brings to mind Un Jardin en Méditerranée by Hermès, but in a version that is decidedly more feminine and less woody: a scent of the fig plant rather than the fruit, accompanied by a subtle floral-aquatic accord. The dry-down is dominated, however, by the lotus note. The perfume projects at first, but after half an hour it stays close to the skin and didn’t last more than 5 hours. Like most Jo Malone scents, I found it a pleasant and informal perfume for spring days, leaning heavily towards the feminine side. I see it as perfect for wearing at work, even though I was off on holiday. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 4/10 Versatile: 7/10 Original: 4/10
Two notes and a fantastic result. The fig that has fascinated me the most so far
with the exception of my beloved Hermina. A spectacular lotus with the creaminess of a luxury cosmetic
finishing with a fig tree trunk scent and hints of aquatic notes in the distance. And a decent performance lasting over 5 or 6 hours. Simply superb.
