I kept this tucked away for 23 years, forgetting about it due to its poor performance, but last night, once the maceration had done its work, it was absolutely brilliant: now it projects hugely and clings to the flannel shirt fabric. Ideal for cold or rainy days; that blend of cinnamon and pepper is so sharp it might overwhelm some, but I love it. It’s that perfect balance between casual and elegant. What a shame it’s discontinued, as I only have 10% of the bottle left, but I’d buy it again without a second thought.
I have an old bottle that, due to being macerated for so long, I believe has improved immensely, though I’m not sure how it would be if you bought it today. It has a very marked scent of cinnamon and spices. When I first bought it, it didn’t last at all, and I left it in a corner, but finding it occasionally and using it now, it proves to be very distinctive.
