Jo Milano Paris Game of Spades King is an exquisite fragrance, perfect for evenings. Its sweet, citrusy, and fruity accords with a creamy touch are simply delightful. It boasts excellent projection and longevity; you’ll surely receive many compliments. 100% recommended.
Jo Milano Paris Game of Spades King is exquisite, better suited for evening due to its sweet, citrus, and creamy fruity accords. It is a delight with excellent projection and longevity. You will receive many compliments. 100% recommended!
Fantastic fragrance! A tremendous creation by Jo Milano. Although some call it unisex, I don’t see many women wearing it (unless they are very sweet). It is totally masculine, ideal for those who love sweet, vanilla, and fruity scents. It opens softly with orange and lemon, then turns fruity, and later leaves an incredible vanilla blend. Perfect for fresh or cold days, though use with caution in the heat. Five sprays on pulse points are enough. On my skin, it lasts over 12 hours, and even longer on clothes. It projects consistently for about two metres for eight hours, with a powerful sillage for around five hours. It is a niche perfume that has nothing to envy from designer brands. Do not buy it blindly because its potency means it won’t suit everyone, but I will definitely be back for another bottle and its sister, Game of Spade Rouge. Longevity: 10/10, Sillage: 9.5/10, Projection: 10/10, Value for money: 10/10.
What a stunner! Tremendous creation by Jo Milano. Some call it unisex, but honestly, I don’t see a woman wearing it (unless she loves things overly sweet). For me, it’s totally masculine, ideal if you like sweet, vanilla, and fruity scents. The opening features orange and lemon, becoming more fruity within 10 minutes. The development reveals a wonderful blend of fruits and vanilla. Perfect for fresh days or winter, though in heat, just control the sprays. Five sprays on pulse points are sufficient. On my skin, it lasts over 12 hours, and even longer on clothes. Constant projection of about 2 metres for 8 hours with a powerful trail for 4-5 hours. A niche perfume that doesn’t envy designer brands. Don’t buy it blindly due to its power, but I’ll be getting another bottle and its sister, Rouge. Longevity: 10/10, Trail: 9.5/10, Projection: 10/10, Value for money: 10/10.
100% masculine perfume with top-notch quality and lasting power.
Smells like something other than Herba Pura; the fruity notes take the lead here. It brings back memories of the Christmas candy platter we used to set on the table in the Dominican Republic. I recommend it 100%!
They say it projects a lot, but I’ve applied more than 12 sprays and nobody has heard it, perhaps it’s my skin. It certainly lasts quite a while. The projection is moderate, but the longevity is incredible: I’ve been macerating it for three months and it lasts 18-20 hours on skin. Recommended purchase. It’s very similar to Bharara King; if you find them at the same price, go for the Bharara.
The quality/price ratio of Jo Milano’s King is impressive. It’s an explosive perfume with fruity notes, a potent citrus, and a powdery or sharp sweetness. It’s not for every nose due to its power; literally, five sprays are enough and more than enough. It could be unisex, but I sense a slight undeclared wood note at the end. Projection and duration are limitless. BEWARE of spraying on clothes; you’ll have to throw them away.
Some say it projects heavily, but I have applied more than 12 sprays and no one has noticed, perhaps it is my skin. Without a doubt, it lasts quite a while: I have had it macerated for three months and on skin it reaches 18-20 hours. Recommended purchase; if you find Bharara King at the same price, buy Bharara.
The value for money of King by Jo Milano is impressive. It is explosive, fruity, with a potent citrus and a powdery or sharp sweetness; it is not for every nose, literally five blasts are enough. I detect an undeclared wood note at the end, it is unisex but with that touch. Projection and longevity are unlimited. Be careful with atomisation on clothes: you will have to discard them.
I bought the set pack because I needed to try this line, especially Wildcard and King, which would cost me around $100 separately, but the pack was on offer for $75 with nine 10ml decants. King initially smells like Herba Pura due to the fruit and citrus lemon, then it becomes sweet, vanilla, and creamy. I was surprised that, despite being an inspiration for Herba Pura, it does not smell as feminine as the others when dry; here, I sense a subtle wood or leather base that gives it a darker, more masculine touch. It lasted until the next day: I applied it at 5 pm and at 11 am the following morning it was still detectable, and the incredible thing is that it wasn’t sillage-free. If you have the chance, share it; it is the best masculine interpretation of Herba Pura. When I heard about Haramain Gold Edition, I thought it would be rich and fruity, but it later smelled like a women’s perfume I had heard of before, whereas this one has those fruity touches. If you have the Jo Milano set pack, do it: there are gems like King, Wildcard, especially Royale (an exquisite gourmand), Bid (similar to Santal 33) which I liked quite a bit, and Jackpot which is inspired by Sospiro but with a different DNA, more fruity with orange, melon, and vanilla. I will continue to test King as I have had it for a week and it needs to settle. Longevity: 10/10 plus 12 hours, Projection: 9/10 (sometimes fades but returns strong), Sillage: 10/10 (rich scent in the air), Price: 7.5/10 (in Chile the Game of Spades line varies greatly, I found this between $50 and $85, shop around before buying).
I bought the set pack to try Wilcard and King, which usually cost $100, but they were on offer for $75 for nine 10ml decants. King starts citrusy with lemon, then becomes sweet, vanilla, and creamy. Surprisingly, despite being inspired by Erba Pura, it does not smell feminine like others; in dry down it gives a sensation of subtle woods and leather, darker and more masculine. It lasts until the next day (I applied it at 5pm and at 11am the following day it was still there), and it does not smell like rubbing alcohol. If you have the opportunity, buy the set: King and Wilcard are top tier, Royale is an exquisite gourmand, Bid smells like Santal 33, and Jackpot is inspired by Sospiro but fruitier (orange, melon, vanilla). I will continue testing King as I have had it for a week and it needs to rest. Longevity 10/10, projection 9/10 (sometimes it fades and comes back strong), sillage 10/10. Price 7.5/10 in Chile as it varies greatly; look for deals.
What a perfume! I own the Erba Pura and this one surprised me: it lasts 10 hours and on clothes it seems I washed it but it is still there. It is a 20/10, but beware of the sprays: if you apply ten, it will cause olfactory fatigue.
Game of Spades King stands out for being very pleasant, offering a sophisticated and enveloping fragrance. From the first application, its pronounced trail catches attention, leaving a captivating trail. As for longevity, it lasts between 6 and 7 hours, which is impressive for its type, offering a durable experience without needing reapplication. It resembles Erba Pura, sharing fresh and fruity notes, but with a deeper touch. In my opinion, it’s even better than the Bharara King, as its note combination makes it more elegant and distinctive, with a presence that stands out without being overwhelming. If you’re looking for good projection, durability, and a pleasant aroma, Game of Spades King is an excellent option that, in many aspects, surpasses others in its category. Definitely worth trying!
I bought this perfume after reading a review online. What a rich scent! It’s so fruity… It’s one of those aromas that doesn’t get tiring. I’d wear it every day. When I use it, it creates a very wide trail. On my skin, however, it doesn’t last long. I’ve read that you need to macerate it, and in that way, it performs much more (I have no idea how to do it; if anyone knows, please let me know). I loved it. It’s exquisite for summer. I’d buy it a thousand times. I think I’ll make it my summer signature scent. Ahh, a drawback: the price is somewhat high. If you have the chance to buy it on sale (under $40), buy it with your eyes closed.
Best alternative to Xerjoff Herba Pura: unbeatable value for money and incredible longevity. Opens citrusy, sweet, and clean with notes of fruit, amber, and vanilla that last for hours; the citrus fades by two o’clock. At $50, you could not ask for more if you enjoy sweet scents. Rating: 9/10.
Excellent perfume, but it can be too sweet for when it’s hot, especially in summer…
Of the three Erba Pura alternatives or dupes (Bharara King, Al Haramain Amber Oud Gold Edition, and this), King by Jo Milano is undoubtedly the closest. Given the similarity in notes, how they develop, are perceived, and fade, it’s almost identical. I’d say they have over 90% similarity.
It resembles any perfume released in recent years, as Erba Pura has around 200 dupes; however, I like this one more because it has a fresher, citrusier opening that makes it more wearable and fresh.
Honestly, this is a Bharara King with a different label. I own the Bharara King Parfum, the Amber Oud Gold Edition, and also the Erba Pura. The closest one remains the Al Haramain; this Jo Milano version is spectacular, just like the Bharara, but that strong citrus note at the beginning makes me prefer the Erba Pura or the Gold Edition. Longevity 10/10, projection 10/10. It’s literally a Bharara King with an hour less of longevity and projection.
FRAGRANTICA PLEASE ADD THE OTHER GAME OF SPADES QUICKLY!
I’m in love with many Game of Spades… King is so rich it’s hard to imagine anyone not liking it; it’s the definition of unisex and a safe blind buy. The same day I bought King, I looked at Erba Pura and it seemed equally rich, perhaps less synthetic and a bit sweeter, but I’d never pay the difference for this scent. I like that it performs better on my skin than on blotter, which is usually the opposite for me; it’s subtle and versatile. 10/10
The best dupe for Erba Pura.
It was my first Game of Spades and I returned it immediately. My first impression of this Erba Pura DNA was literally fruity feminine shampoo, nothing more. It smells rich and sweet but not cloying, with a vanilla hint, but I wouldn’t buy it again. Maybe I’ll try another DNA like Bharara King or Amber Oud Gold.
