  • It works very well. It takes elements from the normal Bloom, all the white flower theme, and a soft powdery orris base. At times I catch that rose and patchouli blend from the Nettare, which reminds me of Narciso For Her, but in lower volume. Here, the rose takes charge. Everything is very soft and projects little, as is the norm with Morillas. Creamy orris tires me out a bit, but one cannot deny the quality. As usual, don’t expect great projection. If you want to stand out, these aren’t for you. I haven’t tried it much or with many sprays; perhaps someone might douse themselves in fifteen and change completely, but this is my experience.

  • It has a subtle sweetness from the orris that envelops the rose and jasmine. I didn’t like the opening at all, but the dry-down is fantastic. The longevity is very poor on my skin, less than five hours.

  • An explosion of orris, intense and overwhelming. The opening is a roar of white flowers. The floral heart is excessive, like a strong drink. The dry-down is more tense, a quiet floral but with a sharp, penetrating tone. It has so much potency that it doesn’t last long, nothing unusual these days. I prefer the Bloom, with better balance and harmony.

Orris is complicated for some, and it gives me a headache with florals too. I tried this by chance and was ready to be sick, but nothing happened. The scent is rich, the jasmine wonderful. The opening is odd, like a freshly cut green rose stem, herbal and creamy, with all the flowers mixed together like a large white bouquet with stems and buds about to open. I bought the 100ml and I love it. Finally, I have a Gucci Bloom without dying of a headache.

I adore jasmine and orris, but with the original Bloom it was always an on-again, off-again relationship; some days it seemed strident. With Ambrosia, it’s the perfect balance… it smells creamier, subtler and cheerier. It has the DNA of the original but updated, a total success. It’s a definite yes for me.

I tried it in-store and went absolutely mad; it came as a free gift with my Gucci Flora and I was over the moon. However, at home, after a while, it started to give me a bit of a turn-off, quite a bit. It’s pure floral, as if you were walking around with flowers on you; it’s not creamy, not intense, and lacks any nuance. The opening smells like a closed room heavily laden with jasmine and honeysuckle, heavy and annoying. Then it softens a little, but on my skin, the blend of orris with those white flowers takes over, not the orris alone. In the end, it becomes more bearable. At first, I thought they were exquisite orris, my favourite note, but then I noticed they are raw and get hidden behind the rest. I don’t hate it, but I don’t feel comfortable wearing it.
