Descripción
Guess Seductive Homme Blue by Guess is a woody aquatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2012, this composition was created by perfumer Guillaume Flavigny. The olfactory pyramid unfolds with top notes of cardamom, black pepper, citrus and caviar; a heart of marine notes and geranium; and a base evoking cashmere wood, sand and moss.

It’s an improvement over its mother, the Guess Seductive. I feel the notes invade us in a more sublime way, asking permission to enter our sense of smell. Although I tested it on blotter paper, I believe its evolution will be more interesting.
It features marine, citrus, and woody notes.
Well, I was gifted it and had high expectations because the Guess by Marciano has plenty of character and intensity. I thought it would be equally potent, but Houston, we have a problem! It doesn’t even reach half, the notes are barely distinguishable. They smell for a moment and then disappear. It’s an aquatic and clean scent, like baby powder, without cardamom or clear citrus notes, more like a very faint scented soap. I don’t recommend it; there are better proposals at this price. If you want to seduce, use another perfume; with this one, you can’t even seduce your shadow.
I detect a slight touch of Eros Versace in the Guess Blue, although it’s not the same. Strangely, I hate the original Eros and I love the Guess Blue. It’s a subtle perfume, somewhere between aquatic, citrus, and woods. Longevity on my skin is 4 to 6 hours, with a medium trail at first and then none, only close to the skin.
Quite a fresh opening, very versatile, and at a very comfortable price point.
Fresh opening, very versatile, and at a very comfortable price point.
It’s quite pleasant and clean, though I don’t see much resemblance to the BLV I own. It doesn’t project for me for even an hour, but close to the skin it smells good. It’s very suitable for when you know you won’t be sleeping alone and want the other person to enjoy it with you. I agree that, given what it costs, if you’re looking for more projection, look elsewhere.
It’s a pleasant and clean fragrance (though I don’t see a resemblance to BLV, and I own both). It doesn’t project for me for even an hour, although it smells good close to the skin. Very true to its name, it’s ideal when you know you won’t be sleeping alone and want the other person to enjoy being with you and delight in the scent. Although I agree… given the price, if you expect more projection, it’s not for you.
It’s a perfume with a good smell, but the longevity on skin is terrible. For that price, there are much better options available.
It’s the perfect flanker for Nuit de l’Homme: it shares 80% of the DNA but shifts the vibe from nocturnal and intimate to something daytime-friendly and relaxed. Together, they cover the whole day. If you’re looking for something sweeter and more potent for going out, take a look at Azarro Most Wanted.
I picked it up out of curiosity after reading some good reviews. It smells nice, yes, but it’s a powdery, talc-heavy scent, not very masculine, with citrus and aquatic notes. I see it as useful only for the gym or unexpected morning situations. Great value: $25 for 100ml in the USA. Verdict: scent 6.5/10 (simple), trail 7/10 (one arm), longevity 6.5/10 (6 hours on skin, 2 hours of projection). Presentation 6/10 (basic box, quirky but uncomfortable cap). Projection 6/10 (depends on you). Price 9/10. Overall note: 6.8/10, just another generic addition to the collection.
It’s the perfect flanker for La Nuit de l’Homme, as it’s 80% the same scent. The only difference is that it transforms the intimate, nocturnal feel of the original into something daytime-friendly and relaxing, making it the ideal complement to cover any situation of the day. If you’re looking for a sweeter, more potent third option for going out, take a look at Azarro Most Wanted.
Out of curiosity and blind I bought this perfume and I got a nice surprise. It opens fresh, where citrus are noticeable, a little bit of pepper and cardamomo as a conducting thread. Then it becomes sweeter, powdery or that talcum vibe, but always with cardamomo as the protagonist. It has an air of La Nuit de l’Homme although clearly fresher, carefree, casual. Climate: I’d say autumn and spring. I’d hesitate in cold or extreme heat, although I find it quite versatile. As for occasions: office, casual outings, etc. It’s one of those you put on when you don’t know what. It’s not a blue perfume as such (beyond the bottle and the name, hahaha), but it fulfils a similar function. The longevity is limited: 4 hours, over-applying about 6 being generous. More than half the performance on skin. For the price, it’s highly recommended.
If it resembles La Nuit de l’Homme but is fresher with marine touches and both last almost the same, since the YSL doesn’t last almost anything; both last a maximum of 4 hours, maybe 5 😅. This Guess Seductive Blue could be called La Nuit de l’Homme Seductive Blue and anyone would pay much more for it just because it’s YSL 🤔🆗✅
It smells like La Nuit de l’Homme but with a fresher, more marine vibe; both last the same amount, around 4 or 5 hours, because the original YSL doesn’t last long either 😅. I’d call this Guess Seductive Blue ‘La Nuit de l’Homme Seductive Blue’, and anyone would pay more just for the YSL logo 🤔🆗✅
Generic fragrance, cheap, flat, I absolutely do not recommend it. Once it runs out, I never buy it again.
I liked this fragrance, I bought it blind: fresh, aquatic, sweet and citrusy at the same time. It’s good for summer or hot days. Good price-quality, I recommend it.
This fragrance was a gift. It smells good, fresh, somewhat marine and very easy to wear, a young and somewhat energetic aroma. Pros: Price, ‘good’ scent, not very unique but sufficiently good for the price. Cons: Longevity and performance, very very weak, only lasts a few hours. I’d use it for the gym, a bit in the morning and so for the price I think it’s OK. Perhaps I’ll buy it again, but I think for something fresh I’d perhaps choose Happy by Clinique.
A flavourless perfume, it smells to me like the cheapest baby wet wipes and besides, it has terrible performance. They gave it to me and the first chance I got, I got rid of it.
I don’t understand why people compare this perfume with La Nuit de l’Homme or Beach Walk, NOTHING TO DO LADIES!!! This is a simple perfume, mostly a marine smell. You get what you pay for: poor longevity but a pleasant scent that evokes the beach. I like to use it for hot weather. While it doesn’t have good projection or longevity, it’s something that gets you out of a fix if you need something economical or are going to the beach. As for what was said before, I don’t understand why it’s compared to others; it’s a different scent.
What can I say? This is what happens when I buy cheap perfumes from Ross instead of looking properly. They had recommended another version of Guess Seductive to me before which smelled very well. It turns out I bought this one which is totally flavourless. At least it works for taking my dog for a walk.
I’ve been using half the bottle for over a year and it smells lovely, but it doesn’t last at all. It reminds me of classic barbershop talcum powder; once I used it for work and someone told me it tickled their nose. It has spaced-out notes; I’d love for it to last longer.
I was going to review it very happily until I started reading the comments, which seemed to suggest the perfume had done something to them. In my opinion, it’s a marine scent through and through. It has the three B’s.
