Woody with incense. I loved it at first, but over time it became a bit overwhelming. Best applied sparingly to create your own bubble; I wouldn’t recommend using much. It has an interesting and very original scent.
Promises a lot for its price and I’ve been wearing it for a month; it smells great. The incense is the most prominent note and is present all the time. The cedar and incense work brilliantly to create a pleasant woody accord. It’s an Eau de Parfum with acceptable longevity and a one-metre projection. It’s not entirely versatile; in hot climates it doesn’t perform well and can become overwhelming if over-applied, so best to stick to no more than five sprays. For evening, formal or outdoor events, it’s an elegant option thanks to its base notes and that hint of pepper. Without a doubt, it will win you compliments. Value for money: 9/10, Scent: 8.5/10, Projection: 9/10, Versatility: 7/10, Bottle: 8/10. Overall rating: 8.3.
An interesting fragrance with excellent value. I don’t detect the top notes except for the bergamot; the incense and woods dominate, making it simple and nothing extraordinary. I believe it’s suited for those over 35. It’s not the best in perfumery, but it delivers for the price. Recommend it if you’re looking for a soft incense for your nose.
I missed the Black Meisterstück by Montblanc, but this is more docile, cleaner and lacks that woody touch; the woods are well-balanced with a warm undercurrent that prevents it from smelling like dark or coarse ink. It’s elegant, versatile for cool evenings, and the incense is noticeable without dominating as it does in the Loewe 7. It smells niche due to its excellent balance, without being heavy. The opening is strong, but as it dries down it becomes cosy, formal and serious. Ideal for occasions calling for sobriety and masculine essence.
