  A rather pleasant scent; the opening is like tasting cherry on your tongue—literally smells like it at first. Then it settles into a nutty, almond-like aroma. Don’t be afraid to try it based on the notes; it’s genuinely enjoyable and, in my perception, leans towards unisex. Update: This fragrance reminds me of the smell of cherry-flavoured Dr Pepper.

  Black Cherry from Perfumérica hits the sweet spot between Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry and Cherry Smoke. The cherry note is natural and authentic, reminiscent of Cherry Smoke, yet it lacks that dark, dense leather undertone. It’s slightly sweeter, but not as cloying as Lost Cherry. You can also detect incense, patchouli, a hint of citrus, and over time it evolves into something drier and more woody. The opening is potent but softens very pleasantly. By the end of the day, the cherry remains present, accompanied by incense, almond, and even a nod to citronella (like lemon tea). If you’re a fan of Tom Ford’s cherry fragrances, Black Cherry is an essential buy. It’s incredibly well-crafted, plus it’s a seasonal edition available only in winter!
