I see it as something for when you don’t want to overcomplicate things and are looking for an easy-to-wear scent. The sweetness of apple and cinnamon dominates, combined with warm, spicy notes. Once it dries down, it becomes creamy with good projection and a decent lasting power. It reminded me of Valentino Born in Roma Coral Fantasy. Although I don’t usually seek compliments, I must say I bought it without a second thought.
One of the best of the year: it lasts a long time, projects brilliantly, is fruity and clean, with a touch of yellow amber, sweet, slightly sticky but not cloying. I love it!

What a horror… super sharp and synthetic, a sweet, plastic aroma with that spicy red apple note that won’t let you go… someone will surely like it, but for me, Hugo Boss only left me with The Scent.
A delicious fragrance, though I see it more suited to people aged 25 or under; beyond that, I’ve loved it.
Rich, simple and pleasant scent, with a notable resemblance to Valentino.
What a most unpleasant aroma, ultra-synthetic to death, reminds me of those low-quality Invictus clones… a very sharp fruity scent like an air freshener.

No let anyone know who erased my previous review, but this is the definition of Invictus by Hugo Boss.
As said below, it’s Hugo Boss’s interpretation of Invictus. On the opening, it smells like a very sweet apple with spiced tones. It lasts well, has a lot of trail, but for me it’s too invasive and synthetic. It’s just in case you want to wear something that smells nice; it’s not complex. What most resembles Invictus is in the dry down. In my view, it’s for any age, but bear in mind that if you use it, you won’t project much authority. 5/10, nothing new.
I don’t know who deleted my previous comment. Let me be clear and firm: IT IS THE INVICTUS BY HUGO BOSS
As they say around here, it’s the Hugo Boss interpretation of Invictus. At first, it smells of super-sweet apple with spicy undertones. It lasts well and has a strong trail, but for me, it’s too invasive and synthetic; it’s only suitable if you want something that smells good without more. It resembles the original Invictus more once it dries down. In my opinion, it’s for any age, but bear in mind that if you wear it, you won’t project much authority. 5/10, nothing new.
I tested the sample from Perfumerias.com in September 2024. HB Intense launched in 2023; it’s a Coty fragrance for Hugo Boss with a candied, cinnamon apple, sweet and chewy scent. Nighttime EDP, of a mischievous, tasty and youthful spirit, very pop-fashionable for those under 35-40. Scent in the line of One Million by Rabanne, Wanted by Night by Azzaro or Born in Roma by Valentino, with a red apple base from the HB house and a red canteen-shaped bottle at a contained price. Don’t look for aromatic excellence or natural ingredients here or in many of HB’s offerings. If you want something special, go niche. To me, it seems quite unisex, although logically it will be bought mostly by blokes. Ideal for going out at night, under 27-30 degrees (it becomes very heavy in the heat) and marking territory. Lasts 6 hours on my skin, with the last 3 close to the skin. I see it as correct for the current designer. If you don’t have the previous ones and don’t want to spend 75-90 euros on generic scents, you like sweet, cinnamon-y, candied scents for flirting, go ahead with the red Hugo Intense Jefe. Blokes over 40-50, who have moved past flirting, prefer traditional, serious and classic tastes, with knowledge and collections… to continue living happily.
It smells like bell pepper on the opening, probably due to the cinnamon and lemon blend. It’s not a fragrance I like; I think it could be annoying in summer.
It smells like Chile on first spray, probably due to the cinnamon and lemon. It’s not really my style; I think it gets a bit heavy for summer.
It resembles Spicebomb Infrared, surely it’s the cinnamon that stands out so much.
I have a neutral opinion on this Boss launch. It’s ‘okay’, it’s safe and smells pleasant, but nothing more. What I notice most is that apple and cinnamon opening, then thyme and cedar in the dry down give it body. It’s not a realistic juicy apple nor a persistent cinnamon to call it ‘spiced’, but they fulfil their function. It’s in the line of Polo Red or Azzaro Wanted, medium-sweet scents people like, but I don’t see it as striking or recommendable for me. Summary: somewhat generic but not bad, average longevity and projection.
I bought it in Europe and, for the price, I could have taken a Prada L’homme or a Valentino. For what it costs, I absolutely do not recommend it. The scent is too intense and artificial; with that money, you can buy other designer fragrances that smell better; it feels cheap.
I read varied reviews and agree with the negative ones. It’s a super-sweet, artificial apple with a spicy citrus and cinnamon touch. It’s strong, long-lasting and projects well, but it’s odd; it wasn’t what I expected.
Cinnamon and apple Glade?
If anyone claims this smells like Invictus, please have their sense of smell checked.
