Another masterpiece from Nishane. From the outset, a fantastic sweetness led by vanilla and peach over a woody backdrop where sandalwood reigns supreme. Then, rich white flowers gradually emerge as it dries. The whole thing is like a sweet toffee. Being an extrait, the longevity, density, and intensity are outstanding. The projection isn’t huge, but it’s quite noticeable. It’s unisex, though being a floral-vanilla scent, some men might feel uncomfortable, so test it before buying. The vanilla isn’t heavy; it’s ideal for day and night, although in summer perhaps more suited for evening. Scent: 10, Longevity: 10, Projection: 7, Value: 6, Originality: 7, Versatility: 9, Overall: 9.5.
They say it’s unisex, but be warned: I don’t see myself wearing it as a man. I use it as a base for layering and it works in a luxurious way. But if a woman wears it… my goodness, it’s a hit. HUNDRED SILENT WAYS is sexy, intimate, charming, and addictive. That blend of fruits and vanilla over a milky sandalwood base is exquisite. It hooks you from the very first spray, as if you’re being dragged towards that subtle feminine charm and can’t resist it. As a man, you’d always appreciate if your girlfriend wore it. If you don’t know HSW and a woman is wearing it, you’ll stop to ask what perfume it is. In one word: fascinating.
Inspired by a poem by Rumi: ‘I whispered an offer softly in the ear of your playful heart…’, thus the notes develop on me: first vanilla, gardenia, neroli and jasmine whisper to the olfactory senses, then it releases a potent, feminine, intoxicating and addictive aroma. Huge sillage, over 12 hours on skin. Ideal for cold weather and passionate nights, although I would use it all year round. I don’t recommend buying blindly because it’s very potent, unless you’re a fan of white flowers and vanilla, which guarantees a safe purchase.
Vanilla and white flowers… although the notes say citrus, they get lost in the sweet sensation. Unisex-feminine, good longevity but on my skin it barely projected after an hour. When my girlfriend smelled it, she didn’t like it and said it smelled like the Winnie the Pooh chapter: ‘The Paradise of Milk and Honey’. She sent me to the shower because it made me dizzy (I sprayed it four times). In my opinion, it’s a delight for women who use it sparingly, and for men in cold climates at night also with moderation. 8.5/10.
A perfume inspired by a Rumi poem: ‘I whispered an offer to the ear of your playful heart… in a hundred silences’. Thus the notes unfold: first vanilla, gardenia, neroli, and jasmine whispering to the olfactory senses, before releasing a powerfully potent, feminine, intoxicating, and addictive aroma. The sillage is enormous, lasting over 12 hours on the skin. I see it as ideal for cold weather and passionate nights, though I’d wear it all year round. I don’t recommend buying it blindly as it’s very potent; unless you’re a fanatic of white florals and vanilla, that guarantees a safe purchase.
It opens with a citrus accord, a subtle composition. White flowers (probably neroli) at the start, then after 15 minutes it becomes more powdery and soft, and a vanilla absolute enters to make it feminine and sweet. It’s unisex but revolves around the feminine. Quality, as you know, this is Nishane. Perfect for temperate and fresh environments. I give it 9/10.
I agree that it’s sexy, intimate, charming and addictive, but the quality-to-price ratio doesn’t quite appeal to me. I got lucky with a discovery set, and on my skin none last more than 4 hours, with medium-to-low trails using only 7 sprays. HSW is delicious and fairly feminine; what stands out most is the caramel, flowers and vanilla, but it’s discreet and elegant, fantastic for a date. Due to its poor performance and high price, I doubt I’ll buy it.
Hundred Silent Ways is a powdery white floral, a beautiful and creamy vanilla. When I wear it, I feel sensual, beautiful, mysterious, feminine and charming. I don’t see it on a man despite it being unisex. Lasts over 12 hours on skin, projecting without being suffocating, yet you don’t go unnoticed. Very versatile for any occasion and climate. If I had to choose one signature from my collection, it would be this one.
Hundred Silent Ways is the best of the white floral vanilla perfumes (neroli and jasmine dominant). At first, it’s potent with a fruity touch of peach that gradually subsides, with a slightly woody and creamy base. Honestly, on a woman it smells narcotic, addictive and very sensual. High-quality ingredients, subtle evolution and powerful performance. I see it as more feminine, but it’s becoming increasingly common for men. Better suited for cold weather, and its high price is compensated by its virtues. Worth trying. Note: 8/10.
I think Hundred Silent Ways is the best of all vanilla perfumes with white florals (neroli and jasmine dominating). From the start, it manifests as potent alongside a fruity part of nectarine that fades progressively, and a slightly woody/creamy base. Honestly, on a woman the scent will feel narcotic, addictive, and very sensual. It has high-quality ingredients, a subtle evolution, and powerful performance. I see it as more feminine, but it’s increasingly common to see this type of scent leaning towards unisex. Finally, I believe it’s much better for cold weather and that its high price is justified by the virtues I’ve mentioned, so it’s a scent worth trying and knowing. Rating: 8/10.
Although Mon Guerlain remains my signature, I’m looking for other options in this family, and this one from Nishane is ES-PEC-TA-CU-LAR. From the start, it envelops you in femininity and sweetness, very elegant and warm without being overwhelming or too gourmand. I adore it, although on my skin it fades quickly. My husband says it lasts quite a while, but I can’t detect it after a few hours… a shame. Edition (Oct 2022): Already in autumn, with temperatures under 20 degrees, I tried it again and now the longevity has multiplied, exceeding 6 hours on skin. A marvel.
Personal opinion on my skin: it’s one of my favourites, lasting 24 hours or more with a trail of 2 metres that invades spaces. On clothes, it smells subtle even after washing. It’s very feminine, perhaps due to the mandarin and floral notes. A sensual, elegant and sophisticated aroma; although they don’t mention musk, it’s there. The fruity and floral notes pass quickly, leaving a dry-down that is intense and long-lasting between sweet vanilla and a fruity, creamy and musky sandalwood.
Although I still hold Mon Guerlain as my signature, I like to keep looking for other options in the same olfactive family, and this one from Nishane is ES-PEC-TA-CU-LAR. From the very first moment, it envelops you in femininity and sweetness; it’s very elegant and warm without being overwhelming or excessively gourmand. I adore it, despite the fact that on my skin it fades quickly. My husband says it’s still noticeable for quite some time, albeit at a short distance, but I can’t detect it after a couple of hours (or less)… what a shame. Edit (October 2022): With the arrival of autumn and temperatures below 20 degrees, I tried it again and not only does it have a greater sillage, but the longevity has multiplied; now it exceeds 6 hours on my skin. A marvel.
The scent is lovely, but it’s nothing surprising, and the longevity on skin and clothes is very poor. The quality-to-price ratio is disproportionate in my opinion. I’ve seen it in niche shops and it smells nothing like niche, however good the brand may be. It has disappointed me quite a bit; perhaps my expectations were too high.
Probably the only one to say it, but it smells identical to Dior’s Hypnotic Poison: much more potent, rich and creamy. Vanilla takes the lead, accompanied by fine neroli and sandalwood. A friend gifted me 10ml and I’m heartbroken that it’s running out; I enjoyed it immensely. If it weren’t so expensive, I’d buy it without hesitation. Lasts over 12 hours, lingering on clothes for days (it even overpowered my next-day perfume). Kilometre-long trail, ideal for winter and autumn. Totally unisex. 10/10.
It is a hyper-creamy white floral, almost lactonic, with an intoxicating dose of vanilla. Its opening is strange, many neroli and jasmines with a citrus touch and a background so creamy that at first it confuses me; as it settles on the skin it becomes more creamy, almost spreadable. Sweet but without being cloying, floral but not so feminine, super unisex. Its duration on skin is moderate, reaching 7 hours in cold climates. The trail is heavy for the first hour and then softens a lot.
It comes out quite floral, markedly feminine at the beginning. Exquisite aroma, fine, elegant and intense in its initial phase. It starts with marked jasmine, alongside a not fresh but rather sweet peach, with a soft woody base. After the initial phase, background notes like vanilla, vetiver and sandalwood become noticeable, which inclines the aroma towards unisex, really unisex. The first hour gave me a bit of shame to use it, but its evolution is very good, so I recommend using it by men without problem; it has a development that evolves towards the centre. Undoubtedly a springtime aroma, with very good trail, projection and longevity. From my perspective, it is a very good perfume worth it; Nishane always surprises us with their quality. For people over 28, for informal and semi-formal wear. Aroma 8/10, Trail 8.5/10, Longevity 9/10, Projection 8.5/10.
I love this perfume; it has a very different smell from the rest: fruity, sweet, balsamic, woody… It is a perfume that changes with time, it does not stay stable, and all the aromas I perceive are very addictive. I don’t feel the duration as in others, but people do notice it; whenever I wear it, they ask about it. For now it is my favourite; I love it.
The most androgynous perfume I have ever smelled; at no point would you say if it is feminine or masculine. It has personality and smells extremely well, besides it carries nothing strange, it is totally friendly both for your nose and for others. As for the unisex (or non-binary, I know) issue, it is impossible not to think of Calvin Klein’s One. They are not alike, but unlike that one, which is extremely flat, the Nishane one is full of nuances that, without being extroverted, give it a lot of personality. A perfume that touches perfection, fulfils everything, blind buy totally viable and 100% recommended, enjoy it.
I was going to buy it without trying it, a serious mistake. I had the opportunity a month after spraying it and it was disappointing (thank God I didn’t buy it in my moment of consumerism). Perhaps I had too much faith due to the high price, but it lasted a maximum of two hours. Its aroma smells like supermarket cologne.
I was going to buy it without testing it, a gross mistake. I had the opportunity a month after spraying it and it was disappointing (thank god I didn’t buy it in my moment of consumerism). Perhaps I had too much faith due to the elevated price, but it lasted me a maximum of two hours. Its scent is like a supermarket cologne.
I love this perfume; it smells very different from everything else I own: fruity, sweet, balsamic, woody… It’s a perfume that evolves over time, never staying static, and every aroma I perceive is highly addictive. I don’t feel the longevity is as good as in other perfumes, but people certainly notice it; whenever I wear it, they ask about it. For now, it’s my favourite; I absolutely adore it.
Beautiful, lovely, yes. It’s a peach-vanilla syrup, honeyed with flowers, fine, delicate, sweet, divine. To my taste, it’s truly narcotic. In short, it’s a fragrance with which you need little else; it dresses you entirely. I’ve seen reviews comparing it to Black Opium and yes, it can have similarities, and if you like that, I doubt this wouldn’t go with you. Although obviously this is on another level. But now comes the tragic part: this has literally ZERO performance, sillage, projection, and longevity. For the price, if I want to smell it minimally for 3-4 hours, I have to bathe in it straight after leaving the house, and even then, not enough. I spray it on skin, clothes, leather, and apply high-lipid cream so it catches something; I let it macerate. Is my skin the problem? Perhaps. But even asking, they can’t smell it. I carry the 50ml bottle in my bag, which is large and heavy, just to enjoy it a little. It happens exactly the same with Ani, from the same house. Honestly, this doesn’t sit well with me; I think it should be a crime to have a tester that performs incredibly and then sell you this. I feel I must say it because the aroma is exquisite and elegant, but in this way, it’s a farce and a scam.
Lovely, beautiful, yes. It is a peach and vanilla syrup, syrupy with flowers, fine, delicate, sweet and divine. To my taste, it is truly narcotic. In short, it is a fragrance with which you need little else; it dresses you completely. I have seen comparisons with Black Opium and yes, it can have similarities, and if you like that, I doubt this won’t go with you. Although obviously this is on another level. But here comes the tragedy: it has literally zero performance, trail, projection and longevity. For the price, if I want to smell it minimally for 3-4 hours, I have to bathe in it straight after coming out, and even then. I spray it on skin, clothes and leather; I apply a greasy cream so it grabs something. I let it macerate. Is it my skin? Perhaps. But they can’t smell it even asking. I carry the 50 ml bottle in my bag because it is large and heavy, to enjoy it a little. It happens to me with Ani, from the same house. Honestly, this doesn’t sit well with me; I think it should be a crime to have a tester that performs incredibly and then sell you this. I feel I must say it because the aroma is exquisite and elegant, but as it is, it is a farce and a scam.
I understand that tastes in modern perfumery have changed, but this smells divinely. It is an elixir that must be beautiful on a woman’s skin. It surprises with its extreme subtlety: floral as expected, sweet and fruity, very well balanced and almost too good to be true. The floral part is evident, natural, persistent, elegant and sophisticated; it is one of the most sensual niches I have smelled in years. It melts with the skin and makes it unique. It is potent for the first two hours, ideal for a spectacular night out. The vanilla blends with sandalwood and vetiver, something unexpected, less syrupy and with earthy nuances, a warm and intoxicating mix. Perfect for gifting to someone important, and watch out… it is totally feminine.
It’s on my list of next purchases; that says it all.
It gives a fresh vibe, though very basic, like clean talcum powder. It didn’t win me over at first, but it has grown on me with use. I agree the trail isn’t much, but sometimes I notice it when I turn my neck or run my hand over my wrist. I see it as unisex; I bought it because it resembled another (Borabora), and this one is more pleasant to me. It lasted a full day in 30-degree heat.
I thought I’d like it, but it didn’t work for me. It doesn’t last or leave a trail; it smells like nothing to me, not even something insignificant, and others don’t notice it either. Perhaps I was cheated with the decant.
A great surprise. If I’d only looked at reviews, I’d have thought it was feminine, a serious mistake. On my skin it doesn’t smell feminine; nothing fits into a box like that. Try it on skin. Just avoid extreme heat. Otherwise, go for it. Excellent longevity and projection. Note: 9/10.
Aldehydic, discreet, elegant. As you spray, you notice the quality of Nishane. An unsaturated powdery neroli, bathed in vanilla and gardenia. Intimate, only reaching if you get close. Sometimes sweet and powdery: better in the cold, stifling in the heat. I liked it, but wouldn’t repeat it; there are better neroli scents. It gives me a hint of L’Interdit.
Just acquired it, used it once. It doesn’t resemble Opium…
I bought it based on reviews and notes, with high expectations. On my skin I only sense the opening; it doesn’t last at all. A pity. Edit: I left it for six months and on a second try it’s strong, exquisite and lasted over 8 hours on skin and clothes 👏
It bears no resemblance to Black Opium at all. I don’t sense the coffee. It’s exquisite, feminine and sexy.
Perhaps it recalls Black Opium with the vanilla and jasmine, but it’s superior. Discreet and exquisite. I only doubt the value for money.
It’s not like Black Opium; they’re different. Nishane is fruity, easy, a cocktail of juicy fruits. I wouldn’t say it smells ‘sexy’, it’s enjoyable. Ideal for starting out in niche. Season: spring-summer (not heavy). Trail is regular, lasts 5 hours on dry skin, but it’s worth it.
I gave it another chance and yes, very intense and exotic. Playful, it reminds you that you’re alive with its bursts. Very unisex. I’ll buy it without doubt, but watch the sprays as it’s potent.
The notes didn’t appeal to me initially, but on skin it’s a success. It opens with fresh fruit, tangerine and peach; as it dries, edible vanilla and floral notes, nothing invasive. Smells refined, floral-aldehydic. Works well in any weather, tested in spring without being overwhelming. Would definitely buy the bottle.
A safe purchase, magical. The seller nailed it. Smells like sweet tangerine on a cold, sunny day, tender rather than gourmet. It doesn’t seem to project because it’s intimate, yet it does so without you realising. Ideal for starting out in niche. For me, the white in terms of scent colour.
