As for Il Kakuno, it is a very feminine character fragrance. I read several reviews claiming it was more masculine, but that didn’t hold up after trying it. Personally, I didn’t like it and wouldn’t recommend it for men, but it suits my partner incredibly well. The longevity is notable, lasting over ten hours on skin and much longer on clothes. I believe its ideal owner is someone who gifts it to someone who brings out their best qualities.

With Il Kakuno, I was surprised: although the reviews promised something more masculine, on my skin it’s a fragrance with a distinct feminine character. It’s not for me, but it suits my partner perfectly. Its longevity is brutal, lasting over ten hours on the skin and lingering on clothes for days. If you’re looking for something to highlight a special someone, this is the perfect gift.

I have a decant of La Capitale and they are very similar, although this one is a touch more feminine. I’ve loved it; it’s totally unisex. If you like sweet fragrances, this is for you.

On my skin, it’s sweet from start to finish. The opening is very fruity: berries, peach, caramel, and strawberry are in abundance, with a touch of saffron. Then it moves to something more powdery; the musk, oud, and benzoin give it body and seriousness, setting it apart from options like Mad About You. It’s divine, elegant, and has presence, perfect for a woman with character. A fruity gourmand that evolves without becoming cloying, ideal for cold climates.

This is, without a doubt, one of the best perfumes I’ve tried; I haven’t found anything equal to it. I feel it’s unisex with a masculine leaning, but a woman with a defined personality can wear it without any issues. Il Kakuno is an atomic bomb that makes you stand out: it lasts on clothes for days or even weeks, and on the skin for up to 24 hours (and I say this as someone with lizard skin). If you’re starting in the niche world and have the budget, it’s an option you can’t overlook.

What a cracking perfume! It’s very similar to Ultramale with oud: a beautiful oud wrapped in fruity and caramelised sweetness. Highly recommended, totally unisex, for cold or mild weather; in extreme heat, no way. It’s a sophisticated and exquisite Ultramale. For those who know the catalogue, when it dries down it’s very similar to Revolution by Esika. Cheers.
