  Honestly, INEKAS LUNA caught me by surprise. As soon as you apply it, you’re greeted by a burst of bergamot and orange that refreshes and lightens the mood, but quickly the star enters: the iris. It’s powdery, very much in the style of Dior Homme Intense, but the chestnut adds a creamy touch and the orange blossom brightens it so it isn’t too dense. As it dries, the leather and amber emerge; note, it’s not animalic or heavy, but polished and wearable; the amber rounds it off and adds warmth. It reminds me a lot of Gentleman, but lighter and less alcoholic. Performance is good: for me it lasts 6–7 hours, moderate projection for the first hour before settling close to the skin. It doesn’t fill the room, but it’s noticeable when you get close. The DNA is a mix between Dior Homme Intense and Gentleman with that fresh citrus twist. Elegant, versatile, easy to wear, and for the price, it’s worth it.

It’s warm, effortlessly sophisticated, ideal for cold weather or a date. At first, a soft whisper of citrus (bergamot/orange) that lasts only a moment; it’s not fresh, just a greeting before settling into the serious stuff. The heart is the magic: luxurious and elegant iris, smelling of fine powder and talc, like expensive makeup. The chestnut adds that warm, creamy, nutty sweetness, cosy and addictive. The base is amber, woods, and a touch of leather; the leather is subtle, just to add body without smelling like a leather jacket. In short, it smells of creamy chestnut and elegant iris. It’s perfect if you love that DNA but prefer the whisky in the background, letting the elegance of the chestnut and iris take centre stage.

  Honestly, it’s absolute luxury. For elegant moments, I’ve never tried Givenchy, but I have used Dior Homme, and this has that same DNA with a twist that has nothing to envy.

  Where Reserve Privée and Dior Homme are much denser fragrances, here we have something fresher, perfectly usable in summer and spring. It’s much closer to Givenchy EDT Intense, rising with herbal and citrus notes at the opening but retaining that wonderful iris DNA from Givenchy.
