Reserve Privée and Dior Homme are much denser; this is fresher, ideal for summer and spring. It’s very close to Givenchy EDT Intense, with a herbal and citrus opening but retaining that wonderful iris DNA from Givenchy.

Honestly, it smells great, perfect for elegant occasions. I’ve never tried Givenchy, but I have used Dior Homme, and this has that same DNA with a twist that has nothing to envy.

What does INEKAS LUNA Zimaya smell like? If you know Givenchy Reserve Privée, imagine this: take the elegant, creamy, gentlemanly side and dial down the liquor. It’s warm, effortlessly sophisticated, perfect for cold weather or a date. Opening: a soft whisper of citrus that lasts only a moment, just a greeting before settling into the serious stuff. Heart: the magic lies in the iris, smelling of fine powder and talc, very luxurious, mixed with chestnut for a warm, creamy, nutty sweetness that is cosy and addictive. Base: while the original has obvious whisky, this features amber, woods, and a subtle leather to add body without smelling like a leather jacket. In short, it smells of creamy chestnut and elegant iris. It’s perfect if you love that DNA but prefer the whisky in the background, letting the elegance of the chestnut and iris take centre stage.

Honestly, INEKAS LUNA caught me by surprise. As soon as you apply it, you’re greeted by a burst of bergamot and orange that refreshes and lightens the mood, but quickly the star enters: the iris. It’s powdery, very much in the style of Dior Homme Intense, but the chestnut adds a creamy touch and the orange blossom brightens it so it isn’t too dense. As it dries, the leather and amber emerge; note, it’s not animalic or heavy, but polished and wearable; the amber rounds it off and adds warmth. It reminds me a lot of Gentleman, but lighter and less alcoholic. Performance is good: for me it lasts 6–7 hours, moderate projection for the first hour before settling close to the skin. It doesn’t fill the room, but it’s noticeable when you get close. The DNA is a mix between Dior Homme Intense and Gentleman with that fresh citrus twist. Elegant, versatile, easy to wear, and for the price, it’s worth it.
