  • Bought it because I own the other two flankers and imagined a perfume with honey, cocoa, tobacco, cinnamon, and vanilla. Nothing could be further from the truth. This is iris and a bit of patchouli, from start to finish. It’s not that I don’t like it, but it wasn’t what I expected. For the same 30,000 CLP, I recommend buying Dark Door Intense and the Sport, both from Alhambra. This iris is more wearable than the one in Dior Homme Intense. Qaaed Intense could well be used daily or in the office; not so Dark Door (a Dior clone), which is only for special occasions and formal wear. The dry down is very pleasant and not so “powdery”. I don’t see it as unisex or suitable for blind buys, unless you’re fascinated by iris. I see it for men over 35, all four seasons, day and night.

Bought it to try something new. When I first sprayed it, the opening was direct tobacco. Then the base comes in with dry cocoa mixed with labdanum; it smells like a Rexons deodorant to me, but it’s good 🥰🥰, it fits perfectly for cold weather.

For the same 30,000 CLP, I recommend buying Dark Door Intense and the Sport, both by Alhambra. That said, this iris is more wearable than the one in Dior Homme Intense. This Intense could easily be used as a daily or office scent; not so Dark Door Intense (a Dior clone), which is for special occasions and best worn with a suit. I see it for men over 35, suitable for all four seasons, day and night.

  • Great perfume if you compare what it costs to what it delivers. It’s iris from start to finish, mixing with cocoa and that powdery/musty touch that makes it a great alternative for fresh days and nights. Good longevity and projection: 7 hours and 1 hour respectively. Rating: 8.0/10.

To be brief: it gets as close as 90% to Reserve Privé (tested side by side). Gentleman is soft, intimate, and warm, but it doesn’t match the projection and longevity performance of Lattafa. This one is longer-lasting, with contained projection and perhaps a flatter scent profile, but it has the same vibe. For the price, there’s no question of buying the original or considering it irreplaceable; that’s what Qaa’ed is for, at a fantastic price. The rest is just being purists or snobs, because even experienced noses can be wrong. It’s one of the best Lattafa inspirations I know; neither the Dior Homme Intense nor Terre d’Hermes clones manage this triumph (via Maison Alhambra). It doesn’t just fool the eye, but the nose, and in this case, the customer wins without deception.

Lattafa Qaaed Intense is an amber, powdery, creamy, chocolatey, and elegant fragrance. It’s an attractive take on the Givenchy Gentleman DNA (EDP and Reserve Privée), it’s very similar, but to my nose, it resembles the EDP more. I feel Qaaed Intense is heavier on leather, iris, wood, and sweet base, very much in the EDP style, and less chocolatey, iris-y, and boozy than Reserve Privé. Important note: at the end, when it fades, it can remind you a bit of Benetton Colors Man Black Intense, but it’s a complete gem. Lattafa really hit the nail on the head with the Givenchy Gentleman EDP DNA. It’s modern, bold, full of character, very elegant and masculine, oozing pure class. Ideal for special occasions where you want to make a presence and impose your personality.

Excellent fragrance. It sits halfway between Givenchy Gentleman EDP and Reserve Privé. When I first wore it, my wife thought I’d sprayed Gentleman. It evokes warmth, embraces you in cold climates, and makes the moment pleasant with its chocolatey bursts. Yesterday I had three experiences: my wife loved it, a customer complimented me, but an old lady selling sandwiches mistook it for a woman’s perfume and wrinkled her nose. Summary: longevity 10/10, lasts all day and is still impregnated on the jacket. Projection 9/10 for the first few hours, then it becomes a personal bubble. Sillage 8/10, a bit heavy at the start. Quality 9/10, not original but doesn’t smell artificial. Price 10/10, I got it for $14 online. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. With this, buying the original is ridiculous; I already have Gentleman and the difference is minimal, only that this Lattafa is more chocolatey at a tenth of the price. Would I buy it again? Yes, if they keep the price and quality.

  • I bought it because people said it resembled Reserve Privé, but in my opinion, perhaps only 60% similar. The tobacco and leather notes are very prominent; it feels like a fragrance for someone over 35 dressed formally. It projects incredibly and lasts too long; even after a shower, I struggled to remove the scent. If you enjoy those notes, I recommend it; it’s very good, a pity I don’t like that smell. Edit: One month later, I compared it again with Reserve Privé and let me tell you, as with all Arab fragrances, you must spray and let them sit to oxygenate. Now it smells 95% similar; my partner can’t tell them apart when held side by side.

  • Bought it because people said it was identical to Reserve Privé, but I’d say it’s about 60% similar at first. The tobacco and leather notes are very prominent; I see this for a man over 35 in a formal suit. It projects a lot and lasts too long—I had to shower to get it off. If you like those notes, it’s great, but it didn’t do anything for me. Edit: A month later, I compared it again, and like with Arab fragrances, you need to let it breathe. Now it’s 95% similar, and my partner can’t tell them apart when held side by side.

It doesn’t resemble the Givenchy Reserve Privé at all; I tried it today and was hugely disappointed. DO NOT BUY WITHOUT TRYING IT FIRST; it smells of cheap incense. Please test it before buying and don’t let yourself be swayed by the reviews.

  • Bought it for the hype, and in the end, it smells very similar to Reserve Privé. As some say, it’s alike, but it lacks that alcoholic kick and leans more towards Dior Homme Intense. Worth it if you’re looking for 85% Givenchy with a 15% Dior touch.

  • ChrisChile

It bears no resemblance to Givenchy Reserve Privé; I tried it today and was hugely disappointed. DO NOT BUY WITHOUT TRYING IT FIRST; it smells of cheap incense, truly. Please test it before buying and don’t let yourself be swayed by the reviews.

A marvel. Love at first sniff. I can’t believe how good it is for the price I paid. Elegant, masculine, and with character, it’s a little gem. 10/10.

  • I’m not sure which perfumes ChrisChile has tried, but this Qaa’ed Intense is very similar to Reserve Privé, and I can attest to it as I own both and have tested them side by side. The differences: the Givenchy is warmer and more boozy in the opening, even slightly powdery, whereas Qaa’ed is a touch fresher with a note that reminds me of leather, though a slightly plastic leather that disappears within minutes, yet it maintains the same DNA as the Givenchy. Throughout the dry down, the Gentleman feels more robust, with more body and a touch more sweetness, while this Qaa’ed feels less dense, which could give it greater versatility. However, these are minimal differences as they are extremely similar scents. In terms of longevity, they are quite matched at around 7–8 hours, with both offering more of a personal bubble projection. Definitely a very well-executed dupe of Reserve Privé.

  • A perfume of supreme class, truly rich. Even though it doesn’t declare it, I detect propolis, which must be the blend of honey, tobacco, and cinnamon. There’s a powdery iris note that releases gradually over time. It’s a vibe similar to Dior Homme Intense but with the difference of propolis. Recommended for its price: comfortable duration of over six hours, formal, and suitable for daily wear without being overpowering. 8/10.

  • At first, it reminds me more of Gentleman EDP than Reserve Privé; on my skin, I don’t detect the boozy touch of the latest in the Gentleman line. Otherwise, it’s a perfume well worth considering if you like the line, although if you have an older batch of the EDP, this Lattafa will last less on you.

  • Nice scent, nothing extraordinary to my taste. Pretty bottle. Weak trail and just adequate longevity. It lasts very little on my skin. I’ll give it more time to see if it improves.

  • An elegant fragrance that sits beautifully with clothing. Although it doesn’t declare alcohol, I do detect a boozy note for a while, likely due to the blend of notes. It was hard to source and carries the DNA of Gentleman Privé. It doesn’t list iris, yet it’s there and noticeable. It lasted over six hours on me with at least two hours of projection, perhaps due to my pH. I didn’t expect that performance, but I’m grateful it works this way for me. The Arabs are really breaking it; I hope distributors don’t get too excited by the demand (it’s worth paying for).

  • Smells like soft chocolate to me. Very pleasant. Perhaps it lacks a little ‘punch’ and remains somewhat linear, but it has quality. You get a bit more than you pay for.

  • The cacao and honey balance the iris, giving it an informal touch without losing elegance. For the price, it’s a fantastic fragrance for autumn and winter.

  • Elegant fragrance, best worn with a suit. Although it doesn’t claim to smell of alcohol, I do detect that sensation, at least for a while. It’s surely the blend of notes; I had trouble sourcing it, and it certainly carries the DNA of Gentleman Privé. It doesn’t list iris, yet it’s there and noticeable. It lasted over six hours on me, projecting for at least two; pH must be the reason. I didn’t expect such performance, but I’m grateful it works this way on me. The Arabs are really breaking the mould; I hope distributors don’t get too excited by the demand (pure profit).
