Infinitum by Veritas: An Unusual Spiced Wood Perfume

Infinitum is Veritas's latest unisex perfume, launched in 2026. The nose behind it is Arnaud Fourré, who has built a woody-spicy composition around saffron, cardamom, rose, patchouli, woods, labdanum and leather.

Veritas describes the scent in accords of warm spice, wood, metal, leather, roses, patchouli and tobacco. It feels at once warm and reticent, with a dry, resinous character that sets it apart from many mainstream releases.

Infinitum opens with a sharp, aromatic dare. Saffron and cardamom read as hot and green at the same time, while lime adds a piercing flick of citrus. A faint metallic nuance keeps the opening from becoming too comfortable.

The middle registers as both floral and earthy. Patchouli takes the leading role, grounding the rose and stripping away any dewy sweetness. The rose feels dry rather than fresh, and the pairing never feels soft.

The dry-down is the true test. Woody notes, labdanum and leather merge into a low-lit, gently smoky base. Labdanum gives a subtle amber sheen and leather supplies a supple texture. Together, they make Infinitum feel substantial rather than radiant.

This is not a scent for sweltering afternoons. Its natural context is likely colder months, evening events or any moment that rewards quiet confidence.

Early ratings are not glowing: 2 stars out of 5 from a single review. With such limited feedback, the only sensible move is to try Infinitum on skin and form a personal opinion.

People who like unisex perfumes with spice, wood, leather and dark florals – and who are comfortable with scents that don't chase universal approval.

Infinitum is a brave, distinctive launch from Veritas. The combination of saffron, leather and labdanum gives it a clear identity, but the current low rating suggests it will polarise. Test carefully before buying.
