What a surprise! I didn’t expect it, and now it has finally caught me. It opens incredibly juicy, fruity and citrusy: an explosion of oranges, ginger and a touch of tropical fruit. In the dry down, that sweet and creamy nuance I adore appears. It smells like a blend of perfumes I know: a bit of Ani, Tygar/Turathi Blue, Arsenico by V Canto, Afternoon Swim and Decas by Xerjoff. As it settles, a note of patchouli emerges along with those amber-resinous notes that give it the perfect sweetness, like a ginger and orange amber syrup with a hint of patchouli. Very good! Bravo G&B Miao!
I received it as a surprise a month ago and, although I had never tried it before, the first spray was wow: super special with a brilliant evolution. It comes out with potent ginger mixed with lemon and, above all, mandarin. The powdery touch appears quickly (it’s not floral, but it is) and as it dries it becomes silky and velvety with a warm base of vanilla and resin, super comforting. It is not a complex scent, but it changes hugely from the opening to the dry down, so keep that in mind when trying it. It lasts about 6-7 hours, with moderate/high projection for the first two hours before dropping to a closer trail, but it sticks well to skin and clothes. In summary, it is not rocket science but it is not bad either; I see it as versatile, ideal for spring/summer and 200% unisex. If you like Ani by Nishane, you will love this; if Ani is too potent for you, try this, it is similar but more subtle and wearable.
I received this perfume as a surprise gift a month ago. I’d never tried it and from the first spray… wow, I thought it was super special with a tremendous evolution. In the opening, there’s a super potent ginger note adorned with citrus tones of lemon and, above all, tangerine. Straight away, the dusty part is noticeable (without me seeing it as markedly floral), and in the dry down it becomes very silky and velvety, with a warm base of vanilla and resinous… super comforting. As I say, without being super complex, it is a perfume that changes hugely from opening to dry down, so keep that in mind when trying it. It lasts about 6-7 hours, with moderate/high projection for the first 2 hours before settling to a closer trail. However, on skin (and especially on clothes) it fixes quite well. In summary, it’s not fireworks but it’s not bad either. I see it as quite versatile, though more for spring/summer and 200% unisex. I think if you like Ani by Nishane, you must like this one. Conversely, if Ani feels too potent for you, you should give this a chance… it’s a similar option but more subtle and wearable.
I love it and recommend letting it macerate for a while after buying the bottle. On arrival, the scent was exquisite but didn’t last long; now in summer I wear it for over eight hours and it has good trail. On my skin, it is a citrus blend with amber and a touch of sugary ginger; I can even taste brown sugar. It is warm, suitable all year round but exquisite in summer. It is gorgeous, very long-lasting and unisex. The quality is fabulous and the performance is formidable.
I love it and would highly recommend letting it macerate for a while after buying the bottle. When I received it, it had an exquisite aroma, but it lasted relatively little for me. Now, in the heat of the months, I perceive it for over eight hours and it has a very good trail. On my skin, it highlights a blend of citrus with amber and a touch of sugary ginger. I sense brown sugar on my skin. It’s warm and could be worn all year round, but in summer it’s exquisite and more appreciable. It’s lovely, very long-lasting and unisex. The quality is fabulous, the performance formidable.
I love it. Love at first sniff. I’m not usually a fan of citrus perfumes, but this is beautiful. Its opening is very vibrant and citrusy, and its dry down is warmer and woodier.
It has all the DNA of Tygar, but Ingenious Ginger feels warmer, spicier and creamier. The ‘Tygar’ DNA is very easy to like: citrus, vibrant and refreshing, but it lacked that warm and creamy touch that Ingenious Ginger has. The longevity is excellent for a fresh scent; it is lasting me 8 hours and projects very well for the first 2-3 hours. It is in my top 3 of most complimented perfumes; I recommend it widely. 9.5 out of 10
Beautiful perfume, completely unisex, with moderate to low longevity and projection, but it caused me an allergy; my nose started to drip. I gave it two more chances and the same happened. I suppose beyond some listed ingredient it will be one that isn’t, as I hadn’t had a problem with the mentioned composition. What a pity because I liked it.
It has all the Tygar DNA, but Ingenious Ginger feels like a perfume with a warmer, spicier and creamier touch. The ‘Tygar’ DNA is very easy to like: citrus, vibrant, refreshing, but I needed that warm and creamy touch that Ingenious Ginger certainly has. Longevity is more than excellent for a fresh scent, lasting me eight hours and projecting very well in the first 2-3 hours. It’s in my top 3 of most complimented perfumes; I recommend it widely. 9.5 out of 10.
If you have consumed all the hype surrounding Louis Vuitton’s ‘summer’ fragrances and thought about spending £400, stop here; this is your place. My impression of this house is that, despite being easy-going and not challenging, they offer something new, modern, quality and at a coherent price. Here you can find notes of Imagination via the ginger or Afternoon Swim via the orange, touching on expensive worlds like Tygar or Ani. There is quality and a delicious scent; personally, I don’t love it due to the very sweet base and I am not a fan of sweetness in the heat, but if you are looking for olfactory quality, acceptable longevity and something modern, look to this house.

After thinking hard to find a everyday parallel for Ingenious Ginger, I couldn’t, so I decided to play ‘alchemist’ and found something: Pale Ale beer with honey and ginger. An incredible balance between freshness, creaminess, sweetness and florals. It’s a proper treat with well-achieved projection and longevity thanks to the ingredients, and it stands out hugely in quiet, enclosed environments. At the end of the evolution, it leaves notes like spiced suede/beer-like ones that make it different, modern, tasty and an experience. If you add to that the good vibes it projects, I have no doubt it will become one of your favourites. (10/10).
It’s a fresh, different perfume. Citrus opening with lemon and lots of tangerine, plus spiced, hot ginger. As it dries down, the citrus recedes, revealing vanilla, floral notes, amber and sandalwood that give it creaminess. It settles into a creamy base of vanilla, amber and flowers, with citrus and ginger on top. It’s very tasty; the only thing that tires me a bit is that sharp citrus edge and the sweetness which can sometimes be overwhelming or heavy. Still, it’s an aroma I really like. It lasts about six hours well, with good projection in the first hour (40cm – 1 metre). If it smells like Ani X due to the vanilla and citrus, remember they aren’t the same. This is much more citrusy, with less creamy and warm vanilla, and a sharper citrus. Scent: 7.5 – Longevity: 7 – Projection: 7 – Versatility: 8.5 (summer/spring).
I bought it blind. The opening feels a bit ‘dry’, like a scrubland with scrub, but vanilla appears quickly, making it creamy. Over time, the citrus fades, leaving very pleasant base woods. It’s something different; I recommend giving it a try, though it may not suit everyone.
It smells of citrus ginger, clean and pleasant. It opens bright and cheerful, with soft floral nuances gradually emerging. The rose is very subtle, with a dusty touch that feels cosy on my skin. As it dries down, it settles over a warm base of amber and vanilla that remains light even in the heat. It’s noticeable without being intrusive. It’s not extraordinary, but it’s a solid composition. It’s wearable all year round, though it truly shines in the heat. Perhaps I’ll add it to my list.
