Perfumer Mahsam Raza works with just seven materials — cardamom, cinnamon, carrot, ginger, iris root, Egyptian papyrus and patchouli — leaning warm-spicy, woody and powdery.
Rather than a staged pyramid, the seven materials are announced as one group. Introspection therefore unfolds as a blended study in spice, root and wood.
Carrot and iris root sit at its most distinctive point. The carrot note is vegetal and softly earthy, the iris root powdery and smoothing, giving that soft iris-powder accord its quiet presence.
Around them, cardamom, cinnamon and ginger shape the spiced character — bright, warming and lightly fresh — without pushing towards gourmand richness.
Egyptian papyrus lends a dry, woody, almost paper-like frame, while patchouli underlines the earthy side. Altogether it feels like a spare, contemplative Oriental, more textural than opulent.
Suited to those drawn to soft spice, papery woods and earthy patchouli with a powdery iris touch, who want a calm unisex Oriental rather than a rich sweet one.
