Every now and then, a perfume comes along that treats iris with the tenderness it deserves. IV. Iris Radieux by Stendhal is one of them, a new women's fragrance launching in 2026 within the floral woody musk family.
The opening is a blend of rice powder and bergamot, leading to a heart of iris, tiare flower and sandalwood. At the base, vanilla, vetiver and musk bring warmth and a soft, lingering presence.
The scent feels instantly familiar in the best way. Rice powder creates a clean, velvety texture, while bergamot injects a touch of brightness that lifts the iris without overpowering it.
