There’s hardly any difference from Yara Asad, but this lasts much longer and has better longevity and projection. It’s a brutal alternative to Dior Sauvage Elixir. Ideal for special occasions or formal outings. It’s very attractive and elegant; a refined man with great confidence would wear this.
I don’t know where the brand gets the idea that this is for women. The scent is totally masculine; I can’t imagine a woman wearing this aroma.
None of them can explain where the brand gets the idea that this is for women. It smells like pure man; I can’t imagine it on any girl.
What can I say about this clone of Sauvage Elixir? I have it and keep it in reserve in case the price rises. If you need to shine in a formal situation and cannot fail, use Dior. If you simply want to meet elegance and gentlemanly sobriety, use Just and save money. No one will notice. The difference is that Dior is a step up in quality and performance.
Perhaps you’re looking for this because of its similarity to Asad. I own both, so here’s the verdict: the scent is very similar but with a substantial difference. Asad declares black pepper and tobacco; Just Aswad highlights nutmeg, making it more earthy. A slight freshness in Asad comes from smoked pineapple that balances the notes, something that doesn’t happen in Aswad where the grapefruit is overshadowed by the nutmeg. In performance, they are equal: 6-7 hours of longevity with two hours of trail. It’s not BEAST MODE in projection, but it’s noticeable. Both are excellent for that olfactive DNA. Personally, I find Asad more wearable and sophisticated due to its dense tobacco, while Aswad feels more stately. I’ve found Aswad cheaper, but the difference isn’t much. The decision depends on which notes and style you prefer.
By far the best inspiration for Dior Elixir. I own the ones from Lattafa, Atralia, Khadlaj, Al Haramain, and the two from Zimaya, and none come close as this one does. It differs from Asad because the latter tends towards vanilla, just like Khadlaj’s Gaith. Atralia’s Amazonas Drift is fresher but doesn’t last as long, and Azlan Oud Blue is the second closest option but costs triple.
If you like Sauvage Elixir and say this isn’t the same, you’re lying: technically they share the same olfactive pyramid and experience, differing only in quality. I love it because for around $20-25 you get something elegant that lasts until the next day and makes you feel imposing with that embrace of nutmeg, orange, and lavender. It’s 85-90% similar to Sauvage, unlike Asad which is another world (75-80% similarity). This is more fruity and less synthetic. If you like the Elixir and don’t want to empty the bottle, it’s a good option for mixing. Of course, everyone has different skin pH.
Brilliant! It’s a serious fragrance suitable for everyday wear if you don’t overapply it; very pleasant with a rare dark touch that some might dislike. It’s a potent fern scent where nutmeg and lavender are constant; if you smell deep initially, it smells like a barbershop. As it dries down, it becomes sweet, earthy, dark, and ambered. If you like ferns and have some age, this is a winner. P.S.: What I love most is the licorice base, very natural, without that caramelised note others tend to have.
Bravo! It’s a serious fragrance, suitable for daily wear if you don’t overapply it. It’s very pleasant with a dark touch (it’s rare that someone doesn’t like it). It’s a hefty fern; nutmeg and lavender are present all the time. If you smell it up close, there’s a barbershop note at first. As it dries down, it becomes sweeter, earthier, darker, and more ambered. If you like ferns and are of age, it’s a winning horse. P.S.: I forgot to mention what I like most, the licorice. It has a very natural licorice base (others tend to have more of a caramel note); this one has a natural licorice, right?
It’s a serious and totally dark fragrance. Personally, I love it. It’s identical to Lattafa’s Asad, with the difference that this one is heavier. For totally formal situations. Age of use: 30 and above, because you’re not looking to surprise the female gender, but to command respect in a group: work, formal meetings, etc. I haven’t tried Sauvage Elixir to compare them one-to-one. Given the spectacular price, it doesn’t feel low quality. It would pass off as a designer fragrance. The Just line from Fragrance World has pleasantly surprised me; they deliver on the three B’s. I paid $13 in Chile, a bargain. Bottle design: 10/10, the cap doesn’t come loose. Good atomiser. Longevity: 6 hours with moderate application, 8 hours if applied generously. Climates: cold.
A serious, dark fragrance that I absolutely love. It’s identical to Lattafa’s Asad but heavier. Ideal for formal situations and commanding respect, not for surprising girls. Recommended for those 30 and over. I don’t compare it to Sauvage Elixir as I haven’t tried it, but given the spectacular price, it doesn’t feel like low quality; it would pass as designer. The Just Fragrance World line has surprised me by delivering on the 3 Bs. I paid $13 USD in Chile, a steal. The bottle is 10/10, with a secure cap and good atomiser. Lasts 6 hours with moderation and 8 with generosity. Best in cold weather.
While some mistake it for old lady perfume or Turkish man scent, it actually pairs brilliantly with cigarettes. Watch out: a little goes a long way, and you’ll easily overdo it.
