  A beautiful, evolving and easy-to-please fragrance. It opens sweetly with tonka bean and cashmere, with subtle citrus notes. Cardamom and woods then join in, the sweetness receding to become elegant and opulent, almost soapy thanks to the excellent work of the notes. This is its strong point. Later it fades into the woody base. Good performance. Edit: In autumn I prefer it; the cold suits it well. That velvety blend of mandarin, tonka and cashmeran becomes more noticeable, rich, gourmand, clean and soapy. In dry-down, after five hours, the woods and patchouli come forward. It lists oud, but it’s the kind found in other Western compositions, certainly synthetic, lingering in the base and not perceptible. Regards.

Then cardamom and woods join in, the sweetness receding to become elegant and opulent, almost soapy thanks to the quality of the notes – this is my favourite aspect. Finally, it settles into the woody base. Good performance. Edit: I prefer it in autumn; the cold suits it well. You can really appreciate that velvety blend of mandarin, tonka and cashmeran – rich, gourmand, clean and soapy. Dry down after five hours is more woody and patchouli. It mentions oud, but it’s the kind found in other Western compositions, certainly synthetic, lingering in the base but not perceptible. Regards.

Our governor should jail anyone repeating such nonsense. Critics say Kajal Homme smells like Chanel, as if Chanel were second-rate compared to a Tauer. The stupidity reaches extremes. Kajal Homme is the work of two Spanish masters with more talent in their little finger than all those ‘masters’ elevated above. Ignorant YouTubers, what a pleonasm. There’s the foolish theory that niche must smell challenging, but with civet and resin, you’ve already got it. The value of niche lies in creativity and artistic inspiration. Kajal Homme has it. It traverses olfactory families: fruity, woody, spicy, vanilla, and amber, all with class. It unites East and West like the Mostar Bridge. The fruity opening darkens with cardamom and spices, wrapped in tonka and sandalwood, finishing with a resinous oud that completes an extensive sensory journey. Despite the complexity, it is discreet and prudent, avoiding cheap ambroxan. That is niche: original idea, technical complexity, and top materials. To this marvel, some say ‘niche that smells like designer’. To them, the Virgin truly appeared.

  After reading the previous review, I’ll clarify that I won’t write a sacred text as it’s not my nature… but my nose has its own verdict. It says: you like it, but you don’t love it. The dry-down is pleasant yet forgettable. Frankly, it passes without fuss or glory.

  Absolutely tremendous fragrance. To my nose, it smells citrusy, sweet, aniseed, vanilla, and violet. It sounds absurd, but that’s exactly what I perceive. I love it; perfect for a signature scent, work, lunch, or a date. Top-tier performance without being a slob; it clings to you without being intrusive. Highly recommended.
