A beautiful semi-gourmand by master Renier that kicks off with a spectacular fig, nothing damp and green like in others, but explosive in its sweet pulp. Then it recedes to be enveloped in a layer of almond and coffee (very well drawn) that evolves into a slightly balsamic vanilla. It has the virtue of being a cheerful, easy-to-wear woody gourmand, although persistent. It makes it versatile, elegant, and keeps the sweetness from being heavy or difficult for less spring-like contexts. It is a lovely perfume that, like that desired ‘kiss of rain’, evokes a cheerful, warm, and fresh sweetness, without being annoying at all.
Master Renier gifted me a sample and literally saved my life, as that is how I discovered this perfume bomb. It is a semi-gourmand, sweet, and creamy yet fresh scent, especially at the opening. It is sensual, elegant, and very original; the name fits perfectly. If you wear it on a date, you’ll score points, although it is versatile and timeless, so I don’t want to pigeonhole it. It begins with a sweet fig, not the typical green one, but the fruit itself. It evolves into something sweeter, very well blended with coffee, almond, vanilla, and balsam of Peru. That personal touch of the balsam, originating from Cuba like Renier, suits it wonderfully. The longevity and projection are good; the projection is strong but not annoying. Perfect unisex. I am still testing it to draw further conclusions and will review again, but it is already on my shopping list. I have loved it and recommend it highly. I cannot fail to mention Daniel Josier, a tremendous perfumer based on what I have tried and read.
This third gem from Renier Perfumes is exquisite, like the previous ones. A delicious woody and spiced oriental where almond, vanilla, and woods shine, alongside a perfectly noticeable rose, coffee, and balsam of Peru, plus a soft, pleasant oud. Kisses Rain is sophisticated, elegant, and very sensual. Fortunately, it doesn’t turn out too sweet on my skin, and I enjoy it 100% in every stage. The trail is heavy to moderate at first and moderate close to the skin after half a day. Ideal for fresh to cold weather and totally unisex. A delight you cannot overlook.
This third creation from Renier Perfumes is exquisite, just like the previous ones. It is a delicious woody and spiced oriental where almond, vanilla, and woods shine. A curious fragrance and, without a doubt, the one I liked most from the entire Renier line, although compared to the others it really didn’t fully convince me. The opening on my skin is almost a clone of Ambre Tabac, simply substituting tobacco with almond. Not bad: an amber, vanilla scent with bergamot, spices, and almond. Gradually, the memory of Ambre Tabac disappears and the almond and vanilla join powdery notes like heliotrop or balsam of Peru. I also notice a lot of cardamomo, well integrated but evident. The opening is more amber, while the heart and dry down are more powdery. At the end, I notice the almond even more, always present but now more intense; it is too sharp, bitter, and strong. The base smells slightly dirty, in my opinion, and doesn’t quite appeal to me; it could be the musk or oud, which are barely noticeable throughout the evolution but are there, and I believe they are the culprits in the final dry down. The performance is excellent, lasting many hours. Unisex? It could be, but it leans more towards the feminine. I see it better in cold climates; I wouldn’t wear it in much heat. In summary, an interesting perfume that didn’t fill the bill for me. I like certain things and dislike others, and I think I like the latter more. It’s like a blend of Ambre Tabac and Pegasus by Parfums de Marly; it might sound good in theory to some, but it hasn’t captivated me.
A curious fragrance; the one I liked most from the Renier line, though ‘most’ is relative as it didn’t fully convince me. On my skin, the opening smells almost identical to Ambre Tabac, simply swapping tobacco for almond. Not bad: an amber, vanilla scent with a subtle touch of bergamot, spices, and that almond note. Gradually, the Ambre Tabac memory fades, leaving the almond and vanilla joined by powdery notes like heliotrop or balsam of Peru. I also detect quite a bit of cardamomo, well-blended but evident. The opening is more amber, while the heart and dry down are more powdery. In the final phase, the almond stands out even more, becoming too sharp, bitter, and intense. The base has a slight dirty nuance that doesn’t quite appeal to me; it could be the musk or oud, which are barely noticeable throughout the evolution but are present, and I believe they are the culprits in the final dry down. The performance is excellent: a noticeable perfume lasting many hours with outstanding longevity, with no flaws in that regard. Unisex? It could be, though it leans more towards feminine. I see it better suited to cold climates; I wouldn’t wear it in much heat. In summary, an interesting perfume that didn’t fill the bill for me. I like certain things and dislike others, but I think I like the latter more. To exaggerate slightly, it’s a blend of Ambre Tabac and Pegasus by Parfums de Marly. It might sound interesting in theory to some, but it hasn’t captivated me.
Very sensual and sophisticated fragrance; I see it as perfect and comfortable for any season, although I would wear it in fresh climates when I want the perfume to give me a warm embrace. The vanilla is well-balanced, the almond note adds creaminess and sweetness without being cloying. Balsam of Peru helps it project and last longer. It is balsamic, woody, and warm, adding grace and evoking past times, perhaps dreams of eroticism or secret loves never confessed. The trail is wide and the longevity is commendable; it lasts all day, at least in my case. It has me hooked, with a hint of Dior’s Fève Délicieuse but better balanced in sweetness. Kisses Rain is less caramelised and more spiced. I recommend it with eyes closed if you are a perfume lover who appreciates elegant scents with modern nuances and a badge of singularity. Absolutely delicious!
I like it very much; they sent me a sample and I kept thinking about it for ages, reminding me of another perfume. In the end, I figured it out: it’s Mon Guerlain. The Renier one lasts longer, but I don’t think I’ll buy it as I’d be repeating a style with Guerlain. Anyway, it’s just a very personal impression.
#February5 A perfume that brings you romantic memories. Renier’s Kisses Rain: the moment I opened it and applied it to my skin, I fell in love. The notes put me in ecstasy, intoxicated by almonds, quality oud, and vanilla with just the right sweetness, all spiced with cardamomo. It has body and is unctuous thanks to the amber and balsam of Peru; I do not notice the other notes separately, only how everything envelops me with floral touches of rose, heliotrop, and coffee. It is seductive, with a perfect trail and eternal longevity, my second favourite fragrance of all. An ode to unique and powerful feminine sensuality that makes me remember romantic eras.
#February5 A perfume that brings romantic memories. Kisses Rain by Renier. As soon as I opened it and applied it to my skin, I fell in love… The notes put me in a state of ecstasy, intoxicated by almonds, a high-quality oud, and vanilla with just the right amount of sweetness, all spiced with cardamom. It has body and is creamy thanks to the amber and balsam of Peru. I can’t distinguish the rest; I just feel that everything envelops me with touches of floral rose, heliotrope, and a hint of coffee. It’s seductive, with a perfect trail and eternal longevity. It is my second favourite fragrance of all I have ever smelled. An ode to unique and powerful female sensuality, which every time I smell it reminds me of romantic times.
With Daniel Josier and a painting inspired by Renier, we have this unisex fragrance sitting between oriental and gourmand. Very sensual, warm, and seductive. Sweet cinnamon and vanilla go well with heliotrope and balsam of Peru to avoid being cloying. The almond and coffee add a bitter gourmand touch, alongside an oud that I perceive as smoky and Atlas cedar, creating a top-tier contrast. Musk seals it off. Good performance, ideal for temperate and cold climates. If you want a great impression on a date, try it; it’s an option worth considering.
I’ve always been drawn to the smell of vanilla tobacco before lighting up, as my grandfather smoked like a chimney and I know that scent well; I don’t understand why they later replace that rich smell with that bitter, toxic smoke, but everyone has their own taste. This perfume smells like that delicious, sweet, and spiced tobacco. If you know Guess Seductive Noir or Herod by Marly, this is the most intimate of the three, ideal for a date to seduce and get someone to stick by your side. The trail is short but lasts about six hours on my skin, which is rare for anything to do, I loved it!
I read that it reminded people of vanilla tobacco, and the association was immediate. The first few minutes are like the dried Tobacco & Tonka Bean from Banana Republic, and the heart reminds me of Fève Délicieuse without the cherry: more feminine, sweet, powdery, and delicate. Kisses Rain was love at first sniff.
I read in the comments that it smelled of vanilla tobacco and believed it instantly. At first, the opening smells like Banana Republic’s Tobacco & Tonka Bean, and the heart reminds me of Feve Delicieuse but without cherry, more feminine, sweet, and powdery. Kisses Rain was love at first sight.
Kisses Rain is one of the top three from Renier, a gourmand that does not envy Casamorati’s Itálica or Dior’s Fève Délicieuse in terms of quality and vigour. It’s like a layered cake: a spiced layer with cardamom, a nutty layer with creamy almond and coffee, and an amber vanilla base. It has a musky and woody base that doesn’t overpower, with good projection and longevity. It’s perfectly sweet, not cloying, and balanced like Daniel Josier’s Ambre Tabac. Perfect unisex for cold weather and dates. Superior to the ones I mentioned and now on my wishlist. Rating: 8.5/10. Sampled at Cruz & Valencia, Chile.
This was the first niche perfume that blew my mind and introduced me to Daniel Josier. From the first spray, it is a delicious experience. It evolves greatly on my skin: it starts with a rich bergamot and fresh cardamomo, then becomes powdery, almond-like, woody, and sweet, until finishing as eminently musky with vanilla. In the end, after about 7 hours, it reminds me of Zara’s Amber Fusion, although this one is linear. It is polyhedral, romantic, and elegant, worth it, and has stolen my heart. Moderate trail and brutal longevity, over 12 hours. I finished my 5ml decant on special occasions and will surely buy again. Scent 8.5/10, Longevity 10/10, Trail 7.5/10, Value for money 8/10, Versatility 7/10, Packaging 8/10. Would I buy again? Yes.

Concentrated sensuality in the style of Daniel Josier. On my skin, it lasts between 10 and 12 hours.
As an expert in cabinetry, I know structure is key, but I absolutely adore this perfume. The blend of wood and spices is harmonious and unique, like an exquisite, well-crafted work of art.
As a lover of cabins, my focus is usually on construction, but I know how to appreciate a good perfume. This smells captivating. It blends woods and spices harmoniously to create something unique. It is like a work of art in itself, exquisite and well-made.
