  • I love this perfume: it is rich, refined, masculine and elegant. The vanilla gives it a sweet touch, but it is perfectly balanced with the rest of the notes. I recommend it without hesitation.

  • I like this perfume; it’s rich, fine, masculine, and elegant. I find it sweet due to the vanilla but in balance with the other notes. I recommend it.

La Nuit de L’Homme Le Parfum is a curious blend that marries the best of La Nuit, Opium and Spicebomb. It shares the citrus and herbaceous freshness of the first, the spicy vanilla touch of the second and the spices of the third. The result is a spicy oriental with fougère nuances and a gourmand hint; it is complete yet doesn’t overstay its welcome like the Amouage fragrances. It is predictable in its good qualities: it fulfils its purpose and develops all the notes as theory suggests. The only flaw is that, like Spicebomb, it changes too much between the opening and the dry-down, ending in a generic gourmand base that disappoints. Opium, by contrast, maintains its oriental character with the sweetness of vanilla. Ideal for winter and night, with moderate trail and longevity, almost low.

La Nuit de L’Homme Le Parfum is an interesting blend of La Nuit EDT, Opium for Homme EDT, and Spicebomb. It shares bergamot, lavender, and vetiver with the first; anise, pepper, and vanilla with the second; and bergamot, pepper, and vetiver with the third. They are integral fragrances that combine spicy oriental notes with fougère and a gourmand touch, without being overbearing like the Amouage orientals. It’s predictable and fulfilling. All the notes develop perfectly. The only drawback is that, like Spicebomb, it changes drastically from the initial phase to the final one, moving from oriental to a generic-gourmand final phase that disappoints. Opium is different: it gains sweetness from the vanilla without losing its oriental imprint. For winter and night use. The trail and longevity are moderate, leaning towards low.

  • It’s the best option of all the L’Homme versions. I agree with Tami Franco: it’s like a mix of Opium, La Nuit, and Spicebomb, but muuucho más débil. After four hours, there’s no trace left on my skin, although it is an EDP…

  • If you want a fragrance, just buy the EDP version. The EDT is totally different and even gave me headaches.

  • I love the scent. I bought it a few days ago in the LE PARFUM version thinking it would be more long-lasting, but it has disappointed me. I agree with Burnett86: after a short while, you can hardly perceive it on the skin. What a pity.

  • Well, I didn’t buy it but someone gifted it to me… 100ml of a winter bomb with wonderful nuances. It’s so concentrated that it can’t achieve a matching projection… But fruits soaked in alcohol emerge at the start, then anise and spicy notes give it a dry tone. After a while, herbs, plants, lavender, earthy vetiver roots, and resins appear. It finishes with patchouli, intense vetiver, and amazing sandalwood with vanilla. Far from 1 Million, Invictus, or 212… Elegant, warm, mature, and highly concentrated. It’s like an oil that lasts for hours. Its dry-down is extraordinary. In short, it’s a ‘less friendly’ version than the Nuit Original, more sophisticated but perhaps less sensual. A luxury for personal enjoyment.

  • I didn’t buy it; it was a gift. However, it is a 100ml winter bombshell with incredible nuances. It is so concentrated that projection doesn’t do it justice. At first, alcohol-soaked fruits clash with a dry tone of anise and pepper. Then come the herbs, lavender and earthy vetiver roots, perhaps resins. It closes with a woody base of patchouli, intense vetiver and an astonishing sandalwood with a touch of vanilla. Far from being a Million or an Invictus, it is elegant, warm and mature. It feels like an oil that lasts hours on the skin; its dry-down is extraordinary. In summary, it is a ‘less friendly’ version than the original, more sophisticated but perhaps less sensual. A luxury for personal use.

  • I’d been wanting a member of the ‘La Nuit de l’Homme’ saga by YSL for ages, and it was difficult to decide in the perfumery. The line is of immense quality and elegance. I opted for this ‘Le Parfum’ for its intoxicating opening with peppery notes, fruity touches, and a penetrating anise. On skin, it evolves elegantly and soapy with the lavender. It’s excellent, although the projection is discreet; after an hour in the room, I noticed it was filling it. Perhaps the wearer’s sense of smell deceives us and others smell it better; I received compliments at a metre. It lasts about 10 hours on skin, a notable duration. It seems dormant but when you move, wonderful bursts emerge. Guaranteed. Elegant and sensual like the original, but bolder thanks to the anise and pepper. Ideal for autumn-winter; I don’t rule out spring (it feels fruity) or daytime if you moderate the sprays. High quality and sensuality for personal use or when accompanied.

I’ve fallen in love with the dry-down of this fragrance; does anyone know of another that smells just as good throughout the entire day?

  • Here is my humble and brief documentation on performance: with five double sprays, I perceive it as harmless and innocuous. I would summarise its scent in one word: fruity. I find no similarity whatsoever with its EDT version. Having said all this, I want to note (in its favour) that it has been notably praised by others the day after application.

  • Very good combination of notes, pity that the reformulation ended the sillage and projection. A shame as it smells very well.

  • The best in the series… I’ve tried the normal Nuit de L’homme four times but it barely projects and I feel nothing… very bluff. However, I tried this one and it is indeed very good, for me the best in the series.

  • Sergiomerida959595

I tried it the other day and it vanished on blotting paper in under four hours. In the end, I opted for Fahrenheit Parfum. I was keen on this YSL… but if this is the Le Parfum version?

  • I bought it on a promotion in 2019 and initially didn’t like it due to the anise. Then I tested it on skin and it improved notably. It’s like a spiced fruit liqueur and subtly floral. Darker and denser than the EDT, with better longevity, but always clinging to the body. Ideal for autumn and winter, indoors, because outdoors it disappears. Scent: 8.5 Longevity: 7.5 Sillage: 6 Projection: 5 Value for money: 6.5

“Le Parfum” is very good and, although it shares the intention of the Eau de Toilette, in my opinion the latter is better. It starts elegantly with spiced anise and a citrus touch, but almost immediately I sense a nutty and creamy note, very savoury, which I don’t find reviewed elsewhere. It is not the fruits, which appear later giving a distinguished sweetness without being cloying. The lavender and labdanum gradually open up, leaving their mark almost until the end, especially the labdanum, very well dosed. The vanilla is not prominent, so I believe that sensation of fresh nut cream comes from a blend of notes. In the end, that sensation disappears and the fruits remain on a bed of vetiver, without excessive patchouli. It is a masculine fragrance, elegant, a bit formal but sensual. It has the usual problem of longevity and projection, although on rare occasions, with 3 or 4 sprays, it lasts more than 8 hours with good projection. Very good scent, but limited performance. I think the EDT is the better option for the price. I am not regretting having bought it and would do it again.

‘Le Parfum’ is spot on, but alongside the EDT they share intent and result, and the latter is better from my point of view. It starts elegantly with spiced anise and citrus, but almost immediately I sense an almond-like and creamy note, very savoury. I don’t find this in reviews. The fruits give sweetness without being cloying, and the lavender and labdanum carry through to the end. The vanilla isn’t prominent, so that sensation of nutty cream might be a blend. In the end, the fruits rest on vetiver without excessive patchouli. It is elegant, formal yet sensual. It suffers from typical limited longevity and projection, but sometimes with three or four sprays it lasts over eight hours with a good trail. Very good scent with limited performance. I think the EDT is the better option for price. No regrets and I would buy it again.

  • It has a very rich scent but unfortunately doesn’t last at all. A couple of hours and it’s vanished. Very sad since it’s the ‘Le Parfum’ version.

  • One of the perfumes that has disappointed me the most. The smell is exquisite, but its performance is among the worst I’ve tried. Longevity: infinitesimal. Projection: poor. It is an Eau de Cologne that smells very well, though.

  • Exquisite, a wonder in every essence. I pity its performance because the scent is addictive and attractive, the best I’ve ever smelled. Scent: 10/10 Longevity: 5/10 Value for money: 7/10

  • To me, La Nuit de L’homme smells like fresh vetiver with vanilla and patchouli, but its concentration performs worse than the Spanish football league. I doubt it’s truly a perfume; if it were a concentrate, it should last longer, not shorter. It smells rich, but it’s another one that ends up on the shelf as ‘what could have been’. On my skin, it lasts four hours even when applied generously: the first hour is magic, then it clings to the skin and is only noticeable if you bring your arm close to your nose. The good: it doesn’t stain clothes, so spray it there if you want it to last. The bad: it claims to be a parfum but isn’t.

  • I just bought it, batch from ’22. Delicious at first: well-balanced anise and citrus without being loud. It feels retro but not old; it’s a very masculine and modern retro thanks to the vanilla touch. Suitable for day and night, but shines more at night. In heat, it’s not overwhelming and reacts with sweat, which is strange as many dilute. Projection is adequate: it doesn’t go unnoticed nor is it invasive, just inviting questions about the scent. This ’22 batch is long-lasting. The top notes lasted an hour, then incredible sweet and fruity notes appeared; I thought someone else had put on perfume until I realised it was my fragrance evolving. It’s a work of art for those with the right pH. Same day: quite long-lasting. After 7 hours, I still detect it, though faintly, with the base notes. On clothes, it constantly releases scent. With water or sweat, it becomes very noticeable, ideal for going out to dance. It’s magnificent from start to finish. It has a 90s retro style brought to modernity. Tremendous ’22 batch. I let it macerate for over a month and a half, and projection increased considerably. I would recommend wearing it under clothes to keep the scent and project better; a friend told me it was audible from an arm’s length, though I noticed nothing. I wore a base layer and applied it to my chest, and the bursts were constant. From 8:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., the fragrance was still there with superb fruity notes. By 3:20 a.m., only vanilla and vetiver were perceptible up close, without patchouli. Excellent purchase; I recommend buying blind and letting it macerate for a month and a half. I’ll leave it in a dry, dark drawer for a couple of months. No doubt it will be a bomb.

  • I love it; it’s one of the best olfactory experiences I’ve had, although I’m a fan of heavy scents. The trail is potent for the first hour and then fades quickly, which is a pity because the 60ml bottle costs 100 euros and reapplying hurts the wallet. On skin, about 5 hours. If you have a generous budget, go for it; if not, look at alternatives with better longevity. Scent: 9/10, Longevity: 5/10, Trail: 5/10, Value: 5/10.

I bought it for the scent, which is brilliant, but the performance has disappointed me. Longevity and projection are poor for my liking. Given the price, I would have gone for other fragrances with better performance.

I wanted it to be the mature, nocturnal version of La Nuit de l’Homme (which now smells watery) and it ended up as a mediocre flanker. It smells of old paper, spices, and dry vetiver, lacking the original cardamom and chicha. Everything is weak, soulless, and more boring than a 4 a.m. mass. I don’t recommend it; with current prices, there are niche options at 80-90 euros that are undeniable. Besides, once you’re over 50, you’re practically a great-grandfather with aches. Longevity: 5 hours, but after the first hour, it’s barely noticeable. You have to press it against your skin. It projects nothing.

  • La Nuit de L’Homme Le Parfum is spicy, woody and aromatic. The opening is slightly citrusy but mostly spicy. After a few minutes, a leathery floral accord appears, probably lavender and labdanum. As it dries, it leaves a woody base of patchouli, slightly vanilla-spiced. It seems to me a darker and woodier version than the original; it even comes closer to Bvlgari’s Man in Black than to the EDT, so I see it as perfect for autumn and winter, casual outings or the office. Longevity doesn’t improve much compared to the original; on me it lasted about 6 hours with an intimate trail. The scent is pleasant, but I still prefer the EDT, which also doesn’t improve its performance and is more expensive. I do not recommend buying it blindly; better to try it first.

  • La Nuit de L’Homme Le Parfum is spicy, woody, and aromatic. Soft citrus opening, but predominantly spicy. Within minutes, a floral accord emerges with hard notes, likely lavender and labdanum. Drying down, it leaves a woody base of patchouli, slightly vanilla and spicy. It feels like a darker, woodier version of the original, even smelling more like Bvlgari Man in Black at times, making it ideal for autumn and winter, casual outings, or the office. Longevity doesn’t improve much compared to the original; on me, it lasted about 6 hours with an intimate trail. I won’t deny it smells good, but I still prefer the EDT, plus it doesn’t improve performance and is more expensive. Don’t buy it blindly; better to test it first.

  • Spices, fruits, and a non-offensive patchouli base. A rich fragrance with explosive longevity and a brutal trail. Very versatile, but beastly for cool nights or outdoors; women absolutely love it. I wear it for everything and get full of compliments 😂 100% recommended 🕉️🕉️🕉️ However, if you’re not a patchouli fan (like me), test it before buying.

  • ManucoSeven

It’s like the EDT but denser, darker, and warmer; those cardamom-type spices found in the EDT dominate here. It shares the same DNA but amplifies the warmth, making it charged (not sweet like the Zara Black Edition), so it feels more potent, almost overwhelming. I like the DNA of both, but I prefer the EDT as it’s more enjoyable and versatile.

  • Avalon1224

Starts fresh with a spicy kick, then lavender and vanilla take over. It’s pleasant but doesn’t make a fuss; lasts a few hours and is quite subtle.

  • Smells incredibly masculine, nocturnal, and full of seductive appeal, but if it could last longer and project more, it would be on another level.
