Tested this afternoon: the new flanker of La Nuit de l’Homme. Two sprays before lunch smell of leather and herbs (clary sage), darker than the original. After 20 minutes, just before the main course, the patchouli shines with the freshness of vetiver and the sweetness of tonka bean; it’s exquisite. After two hours of post-meal conversation, there’s almost no trace left on the skin. Perhaps it’s my pH, but it doesn’t last long in my case: test before buying.
Not bad. Very masculine thanks to that good touch of leather; the tonka harmonises it with citrus and cardamomo for some lovely phases. It’s not love at first sniff; it needs time to settle. The DNA is from L’HOMME but improved, with better trail and longevity; it seems more suitable for nightwear all year round. For assertive men, not excessively poetic. PS: I’m not a fan of YSL in this family because only ULTIME makes me tingle, but this is good.

I tried it today on skin and the opening reminded me of CH Men Privé without the whisky, while the dry-down resembles the first stage of Fahrenheit Parfum; curious. A difficult scent for me, I wouldn’t recommend it blindly. It’s rough, certainly quite masculine.
It’s a pity what L’Oréal does with the icons; this doesn’t even reach the heels of Nuit de l’homme in its early years. On my skin, it smells only of paraffin, just like Fahrenheit. If you want something new, switch, but if you’re looking for something similar to Nuit, I recommend Poker Face by Ted Lapidus, the true lost brother.

Opening with well-placed grapefruit, with lavender and cardamomo taking the lead as soon as you atomise. Then, when the spiciness calms down, the leather, sandalwood and vetiver emerge: like a new leather jacket in a smoky room, with that green and vibrant touch from the vetiver. That’s almost the whole life of the perfume. After two hours, as it dissipates, the sweet base of tonka bean and patchouli remains, which has surrounded the fragrance with a warm halo. I’d wear it all year, only at night. Performance is correct: it lasts many hours on skin and clothes (8h), but the projection is modest (2-3h with 7 sprays). It conveys attraction and mystery. Ideal for parties, but very well dressed.

This is almost the entire life of the fragrance. After a couple of hours, as it dissipates, the sweet base of tonka bean and patchouli remains, enveloping you with a warm halo. I would wear it all year round, but only in the evening. The performance is decent: it lasts many hours on skin and clothes, around eight. Projection is more modest, about two or three hours with around seven sprays. It conveys that you are an attractive and mysterious person. Ideal for parties, but make sure to dress well.

Spectacular. I don’t understand how they have a note rated near 3; is something wrong with their noses, or are they just looking for caramel scents? I wear it for dates or with a leather jacket; it’s very elegant.

How hard is it to review something that gives you goosebumps? It awakens sensuality and the urge to wear it all day with an exclamation of pure pleasure. It’s leather wrapped in the sexy cardamom of the collection, neatened by lavender, sweetened by tonka and softened by sandalwood. A magical composition that alters your hormones.
I love La Nuit de l’Homme, but this one, not so much. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blind… it has that Fahrenheit vibe, nothing like what I was expecting.
It’s a tricky one to pin down, but once you get your hands on it, you’re hooked. Potent, characterful, and with a longevity that refuses to let you down. It’s that leather with a touch of edge, yet it plays well; it exudes class, sensuality and masculinity with an air of mystery. Pure showmanship.
