My parents gifted me this thirty years ago, and it remains the richest, most unique perfume I’ve ever tried. It’s a genuine garden of flowers, nothing heavy, very fresh and perfect for spring mornings or summer evenings.
If you adore sweet florals, this gem is an absolute must-have. The floral-patterned bottle matches the scent perfectly. It opens with a sweet, mossy hyacinth, then softens to let a realistic, creamy jasmine shine through, with distant hints of rose and narcissus (perhaps lily of the valley). Basil adds a subtle green note and the musk is perceptible, though the wood is less prominent. It’s a pure floral with personality, in the style of Diorissimo or Dior. The trail is moderate/light and sits close to the skin quickly, with average longevity for its type. It’s a pity the reformulation made it synthetic; the original had incredibly realistic notes. For those seeking creamy, romantic, accomplished florals, the first formula is an absolute yes.
